I recently had issues with my LVT flooring purchased from Carpet Weavers last year and they (Tyler Weaver & Heidi Doe) refuse to take care of it. I had to get planks replaced because of damage from moving a fridge on sliders. The damage was unusual considering LVT flooring is supposed to be so durable. I was told it was my fault the damage occurred. I asked for a claim to be filed with the manufacturer- Paramount Flooring. Carpet Weavers didn’t file it on my behalf for weeks until I started asking for a claim number. My claim was denied by CW’s distributor - Harregan. So, I had to pay to get it fixed myself. When the planks sheen didn’t match, I again approached CW. Within hours, without looking at the flooring in person, they had an answer from the distributor saying that the shine difference was deemed to be within limits. I’d love to know how they produce these tests so quickly without comparison to the original product in person. The lengths to which this business will go to to blame it on the customer is absurd. Once you get the flooring installed through them, you are on your own. They will not take care of you, no matter what they lead you to believe at the time you are purchasing the flooring. Shop for your flooring at Costco. They use reputable flooring companies with installers who know what they are doing. Don’t end up with a $14k job (for only flooring material) like I did with the company and its distributor making excuses left and right to avoid responsibility in addressing any issues. Do your homework as to how our local flooring companies work with distributors to cover claims and provide replacements, if needed. You aren’t dealing directly with the retailer once the sale is complete.
