Tenay and her team at Calm Castle are nothing short of miracle workers! The stager I had recommended to my seller client had completely dropped the ball on us... she arrived a day later than she had promised and hours after her scheduled start time, leaving my client to start cleaning her house at 9:30pm because the photographer was scheduled to arrive the next morning. My client texted me that night to tell me what had happened and to mention that she wasn't too impressed with the staging she had paid good money for, but I thought, "how bad could it be?" This was a stager who had won Baltimore Magazine awards, showed a beautiful online portfolio, and had tons of 5-star ratings. Boy was I wrong. The staging for this half-million dollar listing looked like a cheap apartment, at best. I made repeated attempts to contact her to fix this disaster, but she couldn't be bothered to call me back. In a panic, I started calling around to find a stager who would even pick up the phone on a holiday weekend. Tenay was one of the few who actually called me back, and the only one who had the inventory and the ability to help. She was incredibly compassionate and she immediately took charge with a positive attitude and agreed to meet me at the property (on a Sunday, no less) to figure out how to fix the staging disaster. Then she and her staging assistant came the next day (on Labor Day!!) and spent hours there making the house look picture perfect. She was also very punctual and she kept me posted throughout the entire process. Long story short, we had new photos taken once Tenay worked her magic, and the house went under contract in 3 days! I'm pleased to report that it just settled today, and my clients are incredibly happy with how everything turned out. Tenay not only did a wonderful job with the staging, but her phenomenal commitment to excellence helped me turn things around for my clients, who went from utterly disappointed and frustrated to absolutely thrilled. We were selling our house after a not-so-good renter had destroyed our house. We had it completely remodeled and wanted to ensure we got the most bang for our buck. So, we decided to go with a staging company. Calm Castle gave us a super competitive quote compared to the two other companies we checked and she even gave us a military discount! We had heard both good and bad things about staging ("It's going to help your house sell faster." and "It's not worth it... you will pay the money and the market is going to do what it wants.") Well, I'm here to tell you that staging the house was the best idea we ever had! Not only did it help the house sell faster, but we were also able to sell it for more than others in our neighborhood and we got full asking price on our sale! Tenay and Andrea (the stagers) were amazing! We had to coordinate everything from online (email), since we live over seas in a different time zone. They were excellent at responding to my questions, getting the house set up and finally de-staging it after the sale was final. Working with Tenay was a great experience. She looked carefully at all aspects of our house, talked us through different options for different rooms, and considered our use/living needs. She talked us through all of her recommendations while she was here, then sent us a written report with photo examples. It made it so easy to follow her suggestions and our house looked fabulous. It sold in 18 days (and the buying agent said the garage - set up as a workshop at Tenay's suggestion - was the cleanest he had ever seen)!

Tenay and Calm Castle volunteered to decorate a home we rent for veterans who participate in a healing program. Calm Castle worked with us to come up with a great plan that would work for our clients.
