My experience with Burkhart Brothers was not what I was promised. I was very disappointed. First, Bryan, came out to give me a quote and "sell" me on a remodel for a master bathroom and small powder room. He promised me 6-8 weeks (barring any problems once the walls are opened -which there were not). He said, "easy peasy" and that they do 100 bathrooms a year. He said, that they aren't the least expensive, but competitive pricing ( I found the price to be on the high side at $50k) but he said that was because they "get the job done!" He told me that he was a Veteran, so I trusted him. The project started the last week in March and went more than double the longest estimate of 8 weeks. In fact, they are still not technically done today in October, as they promised to fix a gap between the tile and carpet. They have sent someone out 3 times to measure (when I call to complain) and it has never happened. I finally gave up! There were weeks during the job that no one even showed up. Bryan had promised that when I was traveling, I could pull up their app and see the work and photos everyday because they would work everyday and post progress. No! The app had initial photos, the first week, then nothing for months. It was simply a way they used to get paid. Also, the only thing they delivered on time was my invoices. I was told by one of the subcontractors that the project managers have to fight for the subs because they are working on other jobs. The project manager disappeared for long stretches, and when there was a problem, ie. chipped uneven tile, I had to call and text many times to get them out to take care of it. I would be told someone was coming out and then no one would show. Many times this happened. They were not careful with protecting my carpet and the tape that held the cardboard they put down left adhesive stickiness on the carpet that I had to get professionally cleaned because I couldn't get it off. The cardboard ripped and was filthy over time, and it just stayed that way! (photos below, June 2nd and 7th) Also, this isn't my first experience with contractors, as I've owned homes for 25 years. it is simply the worst experience I have had. In the end, I would never hire them again, because not only did I have a horrible experience with them, (although I did appreciate Keri who did try to help, but at times could not. I felt her frustration) And btw, when I reached out to Bryan to talk to him about the problems, sending him photos, I received NO response, and I still haven't ever since I signed on the dotted line on the very first day. He disappeared, never to be seen again.
