Ever since I found Alicia I have not looked back. She is the best interior designer I have worked with, with an unmatched attention to detail, and an amazing eye. Alicia has the ability to learn her clients style, and create something that perfectly inline with the vibe of the entire home, yet pushes you as a client to try something new. Every project I have worked with her has come together flawlessly and quickly, as Alicia makes you feel like you are her number one priority. I am excited to work with her again in the future!

Working with a designer hadn’t really crossed our minds until we talked to a few friends who had great experiences with Alicia. While our new home was spacious (for Brooklyn standards) and loaded with potential, it came with super idiosyncratic trends like skeleton wallpaper in the bathroom and a dark red wall in one of the bedrooms. My partner and I run an organizational learning firm, so while home renovation was a top priority…it was definitely not part of our skill set! Upon our first exchange with Alicia, I knew she was the perfect person to help us design our space. After working with her for six months, I learned that she did more than that–she helped us to create a home that spoke directly to our experience. As she listened to our family’s needs and learned more about our lifestyle (active art-makers, elementary-aged kids, bodacious cat, a library of 1000+ books, separate spaces for play, work, studying, eating, and relaxing) she quickly developed design prototypes in response. Not just color schemes and furniture,but renderings on how to best utilize the unique layout of our loft. The job was enormous, and before we started working with Alicia, my partner and I were completely overwhelmed. Our loft was a blank canvas, and we were not bringing any of our old furniture into the space. However, Alicia was not daunted in the slightest-the moment she walked throughout the space, she imagined a thousand possibilities for our home and immediately offered her ideas. Alicia’s ability to render a client’s home based on their desires via interior design is unmatched. Throughout the design process, she remained open to our unconventional ideas and helped us . For example, it was important for our family to have a space where we could read and study and create art together. Essentially, we wanted to riff off a cafe and a classroom and a library, and she made it happen (we cited the Gryffindor common room in Harry Potter!). When our children requested a reading nook, she created a dreamy and cozy alcove in what used to be allocated for storage. Alicia has impeccable taste and her choices echoed the aesthetic we desired. What started out with me telling her we liked “colors of the earth” transformed into a beautiful color scape of bright green, cream, ocean blue, and wheat that wove our home together. She also made sure to honor the imprint of our bicultural family throughout our home. Our most special heirlooms beam with pride on our beautiful built-in shelves, curated with books from our own collection. There are no details that Alicia misses. From the special cat-gate underneath our stairs to the remote-control shades in our bedroom to the up-cycled hairpin table in our “common room” , we have moved far beyond just “settling”, and thanks to Alicia, are completely in love with everything about our new home.

Alicia led a complete re-design of our garden level in our Park Slope brownstone. Our primary living space, Alicia completely transformed it - from living room, to kitchen to dining room. Not only are we thrilled with the design, art and furniture selections but everything - and I mean everything - has its place for the first time. Alicia sourced art, materials and furniture that all feels as if it was destined to be together and the feel of the final space is simply “home”. Alicia even found an artist to paint our two beloved doodles and they hang on our kitchen wall like family. Can not more highly recommend Alicia than to say we will certainly be working with her on other areas of our home.

I recently had the great pleasure of working with Alicia at Brooklinteriors in redecorating the living/dining/kitchen area of my apartment and I could not recommend her more highly. Alicia is a total professional with a great eye, a passion for her work and a knack for helping clients to not only hone in on a vision for their space but to bring that vision to life. From the very start of our project, Alicia was able to take my fragmented ideas and help me form them into a more cohesive design concept. Alicia has a real talent for design, with an organized and straight-forward approach to working with clients that I found invaluable. Her process helped us to quickly come together on a shared vision, to communicate and provide feedback freely and ultimately facilitated decision-making. In addition to her design skills, I was very impressed with Alicia's ability to keep every detail of the project on track...orders were placed with delivery times in mind, Alicia maintained communication with all vendors and contractors, she was on hand to oversee work being done and to receive deliveries, she was flexible and resourceful when issues did arrive, and she was transparent with regards to budget. In short, Alicia went above and beyond to ensure that every element of the project came together seamlessly. Alicia was an absolute joy to work with. She brought energy and enthusiasm to the project every day, and felt like a true partner throughout.

Alicia did a fantastic job on our bedroom. Her design was in keeping with all that we told her about our personal style. She was organized and collaborative, always keeping us informed of her progress and going through the design choices in detail. She was flexible and willing to make changes when necessary. The final product is a gorgeous bedroom where we want to spend all of our time. We absolutely loved working with Alicia and can't wait for her to tackle the rest of our apartment!

Alicia of Brooklinteriors is an absolutely outstanding and gifted interior design professional who has single-handedly transformed an empty Brooklyn house into a beautiful, warm, loving home. I asked her to help me with the living room, dining room, a few pieces for my kids' rooms, and a little help with our basement -- she has gone above and beyond in every conceivable respect. She has not only provided her talented eye for design in helping me select furniture -- finding gorgeous, practical pieces at terrific prices -- and paint and art for the walls. She also has coordinated with multiple other professionals, including delivery companies, Task Rabbit assistants, electricians, contractors and carpenters. She has been on top of EVERYTHING, responding to emails at 1 AM on weekends!! She has kept track of every single piece we ordered, from a dining room table to a small vase (and countless others in between), and knows exactly what has been delivered and when. She has visited the house on multiple occasions to assemble and arrange furniture, rugs, art work etc. My husband and I work full time and have 2 young children -- there is absolutely NO WAY we could have done all of this without her. Before hiring Brooklinteriors, I thought interior designers were just for the super-rich decorating their country estates -- but Brooklinteriors provides full-service, gorgeous interior design and project management expertise at an extremely reasonable price point. I cannot thank Alicia enough for everything she has done for our home and our family!!! HIRE HER!!! Alicia has been a wonderful resource for me during my home interior decision making. She has exquisit taste, practical ideas, and is considerate of budget. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She went above and beyond to make my apartment (particularly my sons nursery) exquisite.

Alicia is my go-to for my interior design needs. She has a great eye for spatial design, is extremely talented, and fun to work with! My home redesign blew me away, truly exceeding expectations. A huge perk were the designer discounts she transparently provides within her pricing package, which allowed me to get a few extra pieces and stay within my budget. Great experience and highly recommend if you are in the Brooklyn area.

I used Brooklinteriors to design a nursery. I was looking for something contemporary that could be used for a long time (as opposed to just infancy). Alicia was so helpful in picking out the right and most essential pieces to create a beautiful nursery but also stay within my budget. She was really proactive about sharing ideas and potential layouts, and provided detailed information on why she picked certain pieces (she was so knowledgeable on safety standards, etc which was really important for a nursery!). Hiring Brooklinteriors to help with the room made this process so much less stressful and actually a lot of fun! Would definitely hire again!
