And THIS is my "fixed" granite! By the way, the cabinets were perfectly level when we started... The initial installers decided to make a improperly sized cut "work." This left us with 5/8" of filler caulk. This also left 1/4"-1/2" gaps along the back of the counter, where the backsplash will be. Industry standard is 1/16"-1/8". I called and related that this was unacceptable. I was told my installers had already notified their managers that they had done this, AND told that manager that they had "discussed it with the homeowner." No. Neither my husband, nor myself, were made aware of this. So they sent a different crew out to "fix it." They cut off an end (that is no longer the same edge or finish that was ordered), and slid the project over so that it fit. Trouble is, they didn't clean out the OLD adhesive that they cut loose, and simply "releveled" with all new adhesive on TOP of it. My view of my kitchen as I walk in is of GOBS of glue. I am mortified. I don't even want these people back in my house, as they have shown what poor craftsmanship they deliver. But what other choice do I have? I wish I coild upload pictures... It is even worse than I make it sound.
