I am a licensed architect based in Boulder, Colorado. My specialty is the planning and design of custom luxury homes. I am registered with the State Architectural Licensing Board in Colorado and have certification with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). My passion for residential architecture and construction was inspired by my grandfather. He was a master builder with a strong work ethic, who had an immense amount of pride and passion for the homes he built. His influence has taught me the value of applying hard work, creativity, and care to every project that I take on. I was motivated to pursue internships in both construction and architecture throughout my high school years. These experiences strengthened my love for residential architecture. I furthered my education at the Savannah College of Art & Design, graduating in 2003 with my Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Architecture. I started my professional career in Atlanta, Georgia. I designed custom luxury homes in Atlanta, and along the East Coast, working with prominent architects for over twelve years. The knowledge and experience that I gained during those years inspired me to establish my own architecture firm in 2016. As a sole proprietor, I deeply enjoy being able to bring my expertise, creativity, and passion to every aspect of my client's homes. I am excited to now offer my architectural design services in Boulder, Colorado, and nearby communities. Outside of the design studio, I love spending time with family and friends. Hiking in the nearby mountains or biking off the beaten path, surrounded by the beauty of Colorado’s nature fills me with joy. It’s a simple pleasure that I just can’t get enough of. My wife and I caught the travel bug when we first met, and over the past seventeen years, we have explored many places around the world, savoring the various cultures, cuisines…and of course, the architecture. But at the end of the day, we love coming home to a place that feels just right for us. Most evenings you will find us in the kitchen cooking delicious meals with friends and family. This is truly the heart of our home. My specialty is designing custom luxury homes. My mission is to make your dream home a reality. Brad did a great job by giving us options for increasing and decreasing the scope of our remodel. He was a good listener and worked well with our builder and other independent contractors to create the best version of what we envisioned. We especially love the front porch that we added. It looks like it has always been a part of our home and improves the flow of the interior rooms as well. He is very easy to communicate with and is prompt with his responses. He could be depended upon to be present when needed. My husband and I are very happy to recommend Brad Dassler-Bethel.

We are pleased and honored to recommend our extraordinary architect, Brad Dassler-Bethel. We live in a 1956 Ranch House in Boulder that was in dire need of renovation. Brad was recommended to us by friends, and after looking at his website and past projects, we were deeply enamored of his work but were afraid that such an amazing artist would be out of our league. We were so happy and fortunate to be wrong. Brad came by our house and listened carefully to understand our concerns: the lack of storage, the need for improved office space, finding a designated dining space, additional outdoor space/deck, and our desire to improve the flow of how we move through the house. He drew up three different directions for us to consider. All of them addressed our concerns but had different scopes of work. After we chose a direction, he drew up detailed plans. His plans honored the original attributes and style of our house, while managing to give the redesigned areas a modern feel. Every part of his plans was clean, balanced, and aligned. When we needed to make changes to the plans, he solved our problems patiently, making sure to find ideal solutions. He is one of the kindest people to work with --- an architect who is humble and yet produces exquisite designs. All he ever cared about was making sure we were happy with his work. He even checked in with our contractor to make sure the work matched the design, and to trouble-shoot construction issues. He really took care of us during the whole process. We are beyond grateful for the experience and for the beautiful end results. We should also add that his work was always on time and his charges were within his original estimates. We have referred Brad to a couple of friends who became his clients and are just as pleased as we are. We are happy to refer him to anyone looking for wonderful new or renovated space.

He has led the coordination and communication for the project including the permit application. Brad Dassler-Bethel is truly an artist. His design for us was aesthetically forward while remaining traditionally grounded. Brad was patient and effectively guided us through the design process while carefully listening to the long, laundry list of features we wanted to incorporate in the home. Because we were building as an investment to sale, he took the time to explain design details for which buyers and homeowners are trending. One of our greatest desires was to build a house with terrific curb appeal. The roof-scape and exterior elevations are beautiful and engaging on all four sides. Once the drawings were complete, his plans flew through City of Atlanta's arduous inspection process. The inspectors and engineers we have worked with have all commented on the thoroughness and detail of our architectural drawings. There is no question, if you want a solid designs with a home that is uniquely special with artistic architectural detail, Brad is the way to go.

The best decision I made is contracting the architectural services of Brad Dassler-Bethel for my in-law suite/basement build in Smyrna, Ga. Brad met us on site after I discussed the vision for the project: the need to create a comfortable living space for my Mother. He was a quintessential professional, taking detailed notes on what my mother and I were hoping to accomplish. He asked intelligent questions and never tired from Mom’s lack of clarity of what she wanted; which resulted in several re-designs! Space design, color schemes, lighting, he provided us with guidance, fantastic choices and recommendations! He met with us on several occasions and provided a suggestion for a local building contractor, who I awarded the contract. Thanks to Brad’s vision, my mother has a calming, comforting and inviting space that’s beautiful and completed transformed. It’s no longer a basement, it’s truly a tranquil living space that my mother absolutely loves (she immediately goes to her space as soon as she comes home; I hardly see her anymore) . I don’t believe there are words that can express my gratitude for Brad’s commitment and exquisite work. He’s a superb architect and I thank him for creating a space in my home that I and my Mom enjoy! I highly recommend him, and I plan to request his services again when I’m ready to build a retaining wall and transform my backyard into an oasis.
