Bauhaus doors – Tischler Design Studio

Lovely windows and door. As with any product / service, always room for improvement but overall satisfied with our decision to go with Bauhaus.

Michael Piernitzski and his studio/workshop collaborators draw on a deep knowledge of the history of craftsmanship. What impressed us most about Michael is his curiosity. Already extremely knowledgeable, he was always open to receiving new ideas and learning. Bauhaus clearly can adapt to any scale of project, from large design challenges (such as the Fogo Island Inn) to very small residential projects (such as ours!). We presented Michael with a design challenge, and he collaborated with me to produce an innovative solution that was complex yet still bearing the hallmark Bauhaus elegance. It was so innovative and new, in fact, that his installers told me that they didn’t even understand how the door was to function until they arrived onsite and saw for themselves how it was to work in the situation. Michael’s solution optimized the spatial limitations we presented him with and created the powerful threshold I envisaged. Michael and Elizabeth are lateral thinkers and consummate professionals. They treat clients, be they architects, designers, or home owners (and I was all three on my project) as respected collaborators. They are exacting in their demands of themselves and it shows. They create beautiful things that are ultimately more than just ‘things’ – they are integral, cherished parts of our home that we use every day with joy. I could not recommend Bauhaus more highly and look forward to collaborating with Michael and Elizabeth on many projects to come.

Few manufactures of doors and windows benefit from the design capabilities of Bauhaus. Under the leadership and astonishing sense of style that Michael offers, form meets function providing a beautiful aesthetic. The project was enhanced by quality craftsmanship that has been noted by all who have seen the results. Further, the installation process was flawless. Everyone we have dealt with at Bauhaus has been professional, courteous and demonstrated pride in their work. Since we planned our first project, we have added two more, each one just as exquisite as the other. Bauhaus comes highly recommended.

The door looks unbelievable! We love it. I can't tell you how many neighbors called me about the door yesterday and today too. It's a total transformation now I have to replace my outside and inside pickets to go with the door! The installers were great as well, very tidy and really good.

Now that spring is here we have had a chance to use our beautiful, well made french doors---quite often. Talk about quality and value --- you guys really know how to do it. Thank you so much
