Anita has done an extensive amount of work in our home including faux painting our fireplaces, Venetian plastering our entry, decorative painting the ceiling in our rotunda, italian frescos in our entry. The work she does is impeccable. Anita is very talented and creative--wonderful with color! I found her very easy to work with and to have working in my home. I would hire her again and give her my highest recommendations.

My home is a tribute to the skills and talents of Anita Danforth. I have known Anita for over a decade and have availed myself of her many artistic talents through out my house from the beginning of our acquaintance until she moved to Southern California. I hope that this is only a temporary pause in her assisting me in the transformation of my house into my sanctuary. Anita creates your sanctuary for you from what she learns about you and not uses your home as a staging place for another design style for her portfolio. Anita has used her amazing eye for color sense to totally change the feeling in my back yard with just the right color suggestion for my fence. She enhanced the entrance to my home with just the right color suggestion for my front door and also landscape ideas around the entrance. Anita even found plantings for my front garden. Inside my home Anita has provided color consultation for almost every single room in my home, carpet selection, picture and furniture placement (staging) as well as transforming my dining room and downstairs bathroom with Venetian Plaster and creating a stunning mosaic in my kitchen. Again, she also found just the right accents to add to the rooms to make them come together. We have more projects on the table that are waiting for her. I won’t use anyone else. Below does not allow for explaining the number of projects and therefore multiple dates as well as multiple pricings. Since there were so many projects it is easier to just say that the color consulting and Venetian Plaster is $250 per day and the mosaic work $40 per square foot not including the materials. So the cost below is for a decades worth of multiple projects.

The Bold Brush was hired by our organization to redo our branding (logo, etc) & painting at our program office. The job was done to perfection! She also designed several event logos for us that were used on tee shirts & other printed collateral for various events. We have been extremely pleased with the uniqueness of her designs. All our dealings with The Bold Brush were handled very professionally & timely. We would recommend The Bold a Brush highly.

We have a large church building that badly needed an update; the colors were from the 1980s. Anita of The Bold Brush walked around our building and made several suggestions. The first had to do with the landscaping. We trimmed back trees and removed bushes to make the building more visible. Second, she turned out two-color church into a seven-color one. She highlighted various parts of the building by using different colors, yet created a flow with the colors working well together. She gave us visuals of what the final project would look like, specific colors selected and a plan that our painter could follow clearly. I like the final project so much that I hired her to chose colors for the interior of my home. I highly recommend The Bold Brush!

Anita painted a beautiful mural on the family room wall...it is totally beautiful to the point that I don't think I'll move because of it! * She is respectful * Completed the work earlier than promised * She also did some work in the back yard...my windows are adorned with beautiful tiles that actually look like real tiles...

Anita Danforth painted two murals for two adjoining walls in my home approximately 6' x 7 1/2'. Her design was beautiful and all that I had hoped for and more. The scene on one wall depicted one looking from an outside garden into a window. In the mural, she painted objects that had meaning to my husband and me. The window was surrounded by grape vines and various critters one would find in a garden. The second wall showed one looking from the inside of a home to an outdoor patio. There was a table, chairs, wisteria vines and many birds throughout. The murals represented a serene, contemplative atmosphere to us. We get to enjoy this amazing artwork every day--all day.

Anita, owner of The Bold Brush, is an amazingly talented artist. She has done Venetian wall plastering, mural painting and other specialty painting for me on several occasions and jobs. I start with the basic idea of what I am looking for and she has always delivered beyond my expectations. She is punctual, accurate, clean and beyond those attributes she is a pleasure and joy to work with.

In the summer of 2006, Anita painted an amazing mural at our house. You can see photos on Anita's website at http://theboldbrush.com/murals5.html. First of all, the artistic "vision" was incredible - Anita came to visit our house, we talked about possible locations for the mural, and subject matter. She brought many books and photos with ideas, talked to us about our lifestyle, careers, interests, and hobbies, and toured our house and yard. She then came up with the brilliant suggestion of an "interior" window that showed our backyard, and showcased aspects of our garden (which is a major source of enjoyment for us) - a basket of veggies, our cat walking on the fence, our tools propped against the fence. Look closely and you can see very personal touches: a tea towel from our kitchen, my husband's gardening gloves, his glass of iced tea. The larger stone wall is an exact duplication of an actual stone wall on the opposite side of the room (fireplace) - where she LITERALLY created stone patterns by tracing the existing stones. The attention to detail is breathtaking. If there actually WAS a window there (and in the additional walls behind it), you really WOULD see our garden, so this is a very clever concept. She worked on scaffolding in our living room for several weeks - it made me think of Michaelangelo (no kidding!) - and during that time managed to seem practically invisible (and I work at home, she did not disturb me at all). I've had workers in the house before who left a mess, but Anita cleaned up every day, took great care to protect the piano and furniture and so on. She also helped me figure out the accent pieces sitting on the shelf, stereo speakers and so on. That completed the look! Almost 8 years later, we still enjoy the surprise of first-time visitors when they walk into the room. Our mural is a wonderful conversation piece, a dramatic personalization of our house, and something we admire every day. Thanks, Anita!
