Alligator of Sweden

Love my Alligator. It has become my favourite kitchen aid. It is stylish and is very well made .It is also easy to use, (can quickly change blades for coarse or fine chopping,) and is easy to clean. I can now chop my vegetables quickly and efficiently. Definitely a "must have item" in my kitchen.

I am using one of Alligator product for more then 10 years and recently I received a gift for one of my friend few more products because she knew how high I have appreciate the quality of the Alligator product. The slicers are the best quality and sharpness of the blades is stays forever. I do recommend the product to all my friends and I am happy that I have discovered them for my kitchen needs - it helps a lot to make preparation of the fruit and veges for cooking very quick and easy. It's a very essential kitchen tool. I was never one to rely on tools for precision dicing, however, the alligator can chop an onion more precisely than I can, and in record time. I use it for all my fine dicing as well as julienne cuts. The smallest blades are great for chopping garlic and chilis. I own 2 and am about to buy a third!

First of all, I love my alligator. I do 99% of the cooking in the household and I do a lot of chopping of vegetables, mostly onions and potatoes. It does a lovely job of cubing sliced mushrooms. Two mprovements I would make: 1. The chopper came with two sized (large & small) white tops with steel chopping blades. They are interchangeable with the green grid bottom. I know that this is probably done to keep the price down. The problem is that when one size of blades are not in use, it is very easy to cut yourself on the underside of the blades while handling for storage etc. My own solution to this was to cut a square of plastic from an old margarine lid and hold in place on the underside of the blades with a rubber band. This way, you can handle the extra set of blades without cutting yourself (which I did early on). I would like to see a simple blade guard provided for the second set of blades. 2. The white plastic cleaning grid broke after only 11 months. It was easy to buy a replacement grid, but I would like to see this part a little more durable. Perhaps made of aluminum or stainless steel. I tried very hard to be gentle with this piece and never ever put it in the dishwasher, but it broke anyway. All in all, I would purchase it again. Tony

Fantastic tools. We have all 3 plastic choppers - as opposed to stainless - and they are brilliant. I have tremors and knife skills are a thing of the past for me but these allow me to safely participate and be productive in the kitchen, notwistanding the fact that chopping/dicing time is reduced by ⅔

I LOVE the Alligator and use it cooking all the time. I will note, however, that you should pony up and buy the full stainless steel one. If you use it often like I do, the lower price one will have trouble with the strain. As to Mathias himself... I was very impressed that a Swedish company would get me a replacement part so quickly, and with such a personal touch. Nice job...

My son bought the Alligator Chopper Set as a Christmas present for me last year. It has been in constant use ever since. I love this product. I make a lot of vegetable dishes and soups. It speeds up the process considerably. In addition, I no longer dread dicing onions. No more tears! I highly recommend this product. When I had an inquiry I received an immediate response from the Export Manager in Sweden, Mathias Engdahl (I am in Canada). The customer service was personal and fast; a rarity in this global economy. I wish this company great success.

I own several Alligator gadgets- chopper, mini chopper, slicer and potato attachment. Recently I bought stainless steel chopper. I discovered Alligators several years ago (maybe 10 or more) and I don't know how I was able to handle cooking before that. With one hand movement I chop the onion or garlic, make ideal slices or stick of any vegetable or fruit.. No tears, no smelly hands, neat countertop. Alligators are my favorite kitchen gadgets. I like them so much, that while ago I decided to buy 2 extra set in case I broke mine or the blades get dull and it very difficult to find it in The United States. As of today may old ones are still in great condition and don't need to be replaced. I would recommend Alligators to any kitchen or business. I which they make slicer in stainless steel. One more important thing- very friendly and helpful team. Great people make great product!

It's a food chopper/ dicer with three useful size cutting grids. The more you use it the more you'll use it. By an amazing coincidence, I used it yesterday to prepare tomatoes, onion, garlic,ginger, apples & sultanas for chutney http://dukesupers.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/tomato-chutney.html

I really love this kitchen gadget. It's sturdy and of really good quality. Since it takes the hassle out of cutting vegetables, I have gone from "5 a month" to "5 a day" with no effort at all. In fact, I am so impressed by this gadget that I recommend it to my apprentices who are training to become chefs. It's really important to keep this on the kitchen work surface so that you get to know how easy it is to create a salad within minutes, chop an onion (no tears!) or mince garlic. I have a lot of kitchen gadgets but this is the one I return to on a daily basis. It is really worth the investment of buying the stainless steel version as it is unbreakable.
