We’ve used Miller Nicholson and team for several projects over the years, in our houses in Dilworth and Myers Park. We’ve always been very pleased with the designs the team have put forward, as well as the feedback loop as we work to a final plan. Absolutely wonderful sense of space. Most recently, we had the team put together a full sight plan with both indoor and outdoor living space. Fantastic experience; you won’t be disappointed.

Our builder recommended Miller Nicholson amongst 3 choices. We saw the work at Bear Lake and the Sexton House and thought he would be the right Architect for our a modern twist on a mid-century modern home. Miller interviewed us, helped us to refine requirements, and designed a plan to reflect our vision! Miller's insight into our vision and desires was instrumental in visualizing and creating a plan that fit our dream, our budget, and our property geography. In the implementation phase, Miller and his recommended interior designer have been instrumental in assisting our stepwise decision process with the builder to create an actual home at budget based on our vision and Miller's plans. We are half way through our build, and we would use Miller's services again in a heartbeat! Once we are done, we will post pictures and generate a final review.

We lived in our 1964 ranch house for 18 years before renovating. By then, we knew what we needed but we did not know how best to lay it out. Miller came up with a gorgeous plan to re-purpose unused rooms, raise select ceilings so that the overall height appears taller than 8 feet, and add minimum square footage to reach our goals. Miller asked all the right questions about priorities, use of space, and asked for pictures that represented our aesthetics. His drawings were very detailed, easy to bid out, and did not require many changes during renovation. We now have the space we need and it is beautiful, functional and lives much larger than it is!

I bought a 1958 ranch and Miller Nicholson (with help from my builder Butch Miller) turned it into my 2017 dream house. Miller's vision of my dream house was so much better than mine. I got so much more luxury than I asked for. I was so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful, comfortable and functional the house is. I was told to give him a list of priorities from what I needed, wanted and might like to have. He got it all in there! Miller is easy to work with and an absolute genius.

We have worked with Miller on many projects over the years. As a contractor his plans are always accurate and easy to read. From a clients perspective, the best compliment I can give is that his projects always look like they were original to the house or neighborhood. We never worry about it not looking great.

We worked closely with Miller Nicholson on our major home renovation. Miller was a great partner from day one until move-in day. He listened to our initial thoughts for our home, and then actualized our ideas even better than we could have imagined. In addition, Miller incorporated so many beautiful architectural details in our indoor and outdoor living spaces. He also did such a wonderful job flooding our home with beautiful, natural light. Miller facilitated our builder/bid process and then continued to work collaboratively with us and our builder until the project was complete. We were in great hands the entire time! We love our new home and are so thankful for Miller's design creativity and structural expertise as well as the passion that he brought to our project.
