I commissioned Barbara to create a large floor cloth for my dining room. She was great at communicating and provided sketches during the process. The finished piece is beautiful. I am pleased to own a beautiful work by this talented artist.

My husband and I own several paintings and prints by Barbara. Her interprtations of the rural landscape surrounding us are quite lovely. We have lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia for many years. In just a few short months, Barbara was able to transpose the subtle beauty of our marshes to her canvas. They are a treasure in our home.

The painting that I purchased from Barbara is beautiful. I’ve had so many compliments about the piece. In addition to her painting, I have purchased a number of her prints as gifts for friends and family. I have known her for many years and love her creativity and originality. In 2009, Barbara J. Hart created a beautiful black & white portrait of Jake, our West Highland White Terrier. The portrait is displayed prominently in our dining room and attracts many positive comments. The most frequent observation is how perfectly her portrait captures Jake's personality and spunky spirit. This is where Barbara's art really stands out: the sense of spirit she conveys in all of her work (dog paintings, landscapes and mixed-media collages). Any trained artist can capture a likeness, but spirit is elusive. In addition to collecting Barbara's work, I've also collaborated with her on various creative and business projects over the years. Barbara is a trusted colleague and a dear friend.
