Technology has radically transformed the construction industry, and if you’re not utilising these new tools for your business, you’re going to be left behind. Add in pandemic-related changes, and it can be confusing to navigate the new normal. Luckily for both aspiring and established pros, The Blue Summit: A Virtual Event for Design and Build Companies is coming to provide insight into the state of the industry today and how to succeed in it.

This premier virtual event, hosted by Houzz Pro, offers up-to-date information, the lowdown on industry trends and the best practices to run and grow your business. The webinars will run 13-15th September, 2021, and will cover topics from homeowners’ expectations to the rise of working remotely. Below is a synopsis of each webinar, why the topics are relevant today and links to register.

Webinar 1: How to Grow Your Online Presence

Having an online presence is crucial for success these days. Google sees about 3.5 billion searches each day, many of which are done to find out information on local businesses. So if you aren’t online, or you are but aren’t doing it properly, you’re missing out on countless potential customers. Just take a look at the statistics: 75% of users say that a website’s aesthetics affect its credibility, and 85% of customers trust online reviews and testimonials as much as personal recommendations.

During this webinar, Andrew Small, Managing Director Houzz Pro, will show you how to build your brand and grow your online presence to attract new clients. With roughly half of small businesses failing within the first 5 years, according to data from the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy, it’s important to put your best foot forward.  Things like a well-designed website, strategic online marketing, and a strong social media presence can help you stand out – and are all easily achievable with Houzz Pro.

Webinar 2: What Homeowners Want in 2021

While 2020 saw a rise in DIY home improvements, more and more homeowners are turning to builders this year to get the job done. Houzz and Home Ireland 2021 survey found that 85% of homeowners are planning to hire a home professional in the near future. And this is a great industry to be in, as nearly half of Ireland homeowners plan to renovate (49%) in 2021. But while the demand for home pros is high, research has shown that homeowners are often disappointed or frustrated when looking for, hiring and working with them.

So how can you keep clients satisfied? That’s exactly what Rebekah Ingle, Customer Success Manager at Houzz, will focus on in this webinar. Find out what clients want and expect, and how to keep them satisfied and coming back for more.

Webinar 3: Home Renovation Trends That Are Shaping 2021

With a year of lockdowns forcing people to spend more time at home, the way we view our living spaces has changed. The pandemic sparked a sustained, unprecedented wave of home improvements, as people realised the link between living spaces and mental wellness. So what trends are on the rise in 2021? Will we continue to see more home offices? Will last year’s trends still dominate, or will new ones emerge? Amanda Pollard of the Houzz Editorial team will answer these questions and more, as she presents trends for the second half of 2021 based on search data and community activity on Houzz.
