The Designory
The Barefoot Bay Cottage is the first-holiday house to be designed and built for boutique accommodation business, Barefoot Escapes (www.barefootescapes.com.au). Working with many of The Designory’s favourite brands, it has been designed with an overriding luxe Australian coastal style synonymous with Sydney based team. The newly renovated three bedroom cottage is a north facing home which has been designed to capture the sun and the cooling summer breeze. Inside, the home is light-filled, open plan and imbues instant calm with a luxe palette of coastal and hinterland tones. The contemporary styling includes layering of earthy, tribal and natural textures throughout providing a sense of cohesiveness and instant tranquillity allowing guests to prioritise rest and rejuvenation.

This little guest bathroom is a favorite amongst our social following with its vertically laid glass subway tile and blush pink walls. The navy and pinks complement each other well and the brass pulls stand out on the free-standing vanity. The gold leaf oval mirror is a show-stopper.

guest bathroom.
Wood looking tile gave the natural serenity of a spa and dark floor tile finished the look with a mid-century modern / Asian touch.

The artificial lighting system consists of two lamps and two spot lights, all in warm colors and at low intensity.
These lights can be used individually depending on the mood in order to complete the overall atmosphere.

This remodeled bathroom now serves as powder room for the kitchen/family room and a guest bath adjacent to the media room with its pull-down Murphy bed. The new cabinet features a sink made of recycled aluminum and a glass countertop. Reflected in the mirror is the shower with its skylight and enclosure made of 3-form recycle resin panels with embedded reeds.
