Instead of a dark cave, the wine room is treated an open, communal entertainment. the wine room proper is separated from the entertainment area by demising floor to ceiling glass to control for climate and humidity for the wine. The beauty of the series wine bottles remain visible and a focal feature the overall space. The ends of the Dark mahogany cabinet racks are treated as a series of tall armoires, and with usual walls removed, the wine racks are further displayed as halls. The floor is Onyx and in the interior one wall displays antique french decanters that is lit through an onyx wall behind them. (left side of photo).

This beautiful wine cellar started life as a boring bedroom. We bricked in a window and designed the cabinetry to provide extensive wine storage including a display section. Cabinetry also conceals a fully integrated fridge drawer and an integrated dishwasher. We carried the European Oak parquetry flooring throughout the house including this wine cellar and finished it with a French bleed. The raw edges to the solid Jarrah benchtop and the half wine barrel (incorporating secret storage) give the overall design a slightly rustic edge, particularly when juxtaposed against the rich red and gold flock wallpaper, gold ceiling, Lee Broom crystal pendant light and brass cabinetry hardware.

This small but impressive wine cellar uses Sapele Mahogany with a clear stain to show off the beautiful quality of the wood wine racks, which hold up to 390 wine bottles. LED lighting illuminates the showcase label forward row, and castle inspired windows tease the wine room interior from an outer hallway lined in rustic stone. Photo by Jeff Laydon, Pagosa Photography

New Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) Thank you to our wonderful craftsman and enthusiastic vendors! Project designed by Maraya Interior Design. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Santa Ynez, Malibu and Calabasas, across the tri-county area of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills and Calabasas. This home wine cellar Boston was crafted from mahogany, with a Chappo stain and clear top coat finish. It provides storage and display for 1770 bottles, including 750 ml., through the use of high reveal display rows, wood case storage, bulk bin storage and label forward horizontal displays. The wine cooling evaporator was mounted horizontally in the racks. We concealed it in a louvered grill cover to make it look like it is part of the racking.
