Landis Architects | BuildersThe owners of this stately Adams Morgan rowhouse wanted to reconfigure rooms on the two upper levels to create a primary suite on the third floor and a better layout for the second floor. Our crews fully gutted and reframed the floors and walls of the front rooms, taking the opportunity of open walls to increase energy-efficiency with spray foam insulation at exposed exterior walls.
The original third floor bedroom was open to the hallway and had an outdated, odd-shaped bathroom. We reframed the walls to create a suite with a master bedroom, closet and generous bath with a freestanding tub and shower. Double doors open from the bedroom to the closet, and another set of double doors lead to the bathroom. The classic black and white theme continues in this room.

Arete Renovators Inc.This stunning multiroom remodel spans from the kitchen to the bathroom to the main areas and into the closets. Collaborating with Jill Lowe on the design, many beautiful features were added to this home. The bathroom includes a separate tub from the shower and toilet room. In the kitchen, there is an island and many beautiful fixtures to compliment the white cabinets and dark wall color. Throughout the rest of the home new paint and new floors have been added.

The bedroom itself boasts a striking full-wall headboard crafted from painted black beadboard, complemented by aged oak flooring and adjacent black matte tile in the bath and closet areas. Custom nightstands on either side of the bed provide convenience, illuminated by industrial rope pendants overhead. The master bath showcases an industrial aesthetic with white subway tile, aged oak cabinetry, and a luxurious walk-in shower. Black plumbing fixtures and hardware add a sophisticated touch, completing this harmoniously designed and well-appointed master suite.
