This photo highlights the crown molding beading our carpenters created. You can see the light groove cut into the bottom of the beading. This extra feature, although a small touch, adds depth to the beading and makes it appear to stand out from the wall itself. This will become even more noticeable once we paint the beading.

The homeowners of this Boston property required some light carpentry work to prepare for painting. Here, we replaced the old wood from below both of the window sills. We also replace wood and beading below the windows. Then we installed new particle boards. You can see where we made the initial rough cut where the space for the power outlets.

This picture gives you a closer view of the carpentry work we performed in this room. Looking at the new wood below the window sill, you can see its slight curvature. This gives it that old-style charm and compliments the classical type of window frame and sill. All the wood will get new paint, and the room will gain a new fresh look.

For this home repair job, our carpenters replaced an old and damaged door jamb. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, this refit has a practical purpose. Damaged door jambs can prevent the door from closing properly or staying shut. When this happens, a room can quickly lose heat, as more drafts find their way through than normal. We will paint this jamb soon, and it’ll blend right in.
