New Space ArchitectureThere are so many things to consider when designing an extension for open-plan family living; how you enter the space, how you connect the room with the garden, how the different areas within the space interact and flow to name a few... This project allowed us to bring all of these aspects together in an harmonious fashion by tying in an elegant modern extension with a period traditional home. Key features include a parapet flat roof, internal crittall doors and full length glazing and sliding doors helping to bring the outside in. A simple yet elegant design, perfectly formed for modern family life.
Coco Design & Build Co.Simple clean design...in this master bathroom renovation things were kept in the same place but in a very different interpretation. The shower is where the exiting one was, but the walls surrounding it were taken out, a curbless floor was installed with a sleek tile-over linear drain that really goes away. A free-standing bathtub is in the same location that the original drop in whirlpool tub lived prior to the renovation. The result is a clean, contemporary design with some interesting "bling" effects like the bubble chandelier and the mirror rounds mosaic tile located in the back of the niche.

Studio YzéRénovation d'un triplex de 70m² dans un Hôtel Particulier situé dans le Marais.
Le premier enjeu de ce projet était de retravailler et redéfinir l'usage de chacun des espaces de l'appartement. Le jeune couple souhaitait également pouvoir recevoir du monde tout en permettant à chacun de rester indépendant et garder son intimité.
Ainsi, chaque étage de ce triplex offre un grand volume dans lequel vient s'insérer un usage :
Au premier étage, l'espace nuit, avec chambre et salle d'eau attenante.
Au rez-de-chaussée, l'ancien séjour/cuisine devient une cuisine à part entière
En cours anglaise, l'ancienne chambre devient un salon avec une salle de bain attenante qui permet ainsi de recevoir aisément du monde.
Les volumes de cet appartement sont baignés d'une belle lumière naturelle qui a permis d'affirmer une palette de couleurs variée dans l'ensemble des pièces de vie.
Les couleurs intenses gagnent en profondeur en se confrontant à des matières plus nuancées comme le marbre qui confèrent une certaine sobriété aux espaces. Dans un jeu de variations permanentes, le clair-obscur révèle les contrastes de couleurs et de formes et confère à cet appartement une atmosphère à la fois douce et élégante.

A recessed niche with back-lighting is a fun way to add an accent detail within the shower. The niche lighting can also act as a night light for guests that are sleeping in the main basement space.
