Teixeira House, AIA Award Winner
The entire upstairs is an open master suite. Lower walls surround the bath area forming a spatial L that allows light to travel between the bed and bath areas. Astringencies of modernism are coupled with rich and playful juxtapositions of materials.
Bathroom walls are finished with smooth Venetian plaster; 2” aluminum recycled aluminum tiles surround the sink and tub. Floors are semi-gloss finish plywood, formaldehyde-free. Low windows close to floor allow cool night air to enter.
