Our client requested Land & Water Design to design a unique backyard, utilizing every bit of open area. Within the requests were a 12'x22' swimming pool with swim jet system to accommodate the competitive swimmers in their family. The items on their "wish list" were enough hardscape areas to accommodate at least 20 guests, a beautiful low maintenance landscape, custom storage area, outdoor lighting, water jets, retaining wall, seat walls and finally a small area for outdoor grilling.

This traditional inground swimming pool in Deerfield, IL measures 20'0" x 40'0", and is 3'6" to 7'6" deep. The 8'0" round spa is raised, and is cladded by natural stone. Bluestone coping surrounds the swimming pool and hot tub, and concrete pavers provide an ample sunning area for the pool deck. The pool finish is a custom-blended exposed aggregate finish with the color Periwinkle.

The classic cream tones of the surrounding granite tiles and natural texture of the timber screens create a striking contrast with the rich blue pool interior colour.
A very small South Tampa backyard (typical) turned into a very usable space. Approx. 265 sq. ft. this small pool or spool (spa pool) has everything one needs to enjoy outdoor living life. Offset to one side of the yard, it allows for max use of the space. The approx. 330 sq. ft. french pattern silver travertine pool deck and straight edge pool coping gives this backyard a clean, simple, modern feel. With the soft zoyisa grass expanding almost to pool edges it gives the small space a vast, clean feel. The sunshelf in the pool adds a place of pause before entering the pool which has a max depth of 6 feet. No matter what time of year the spool is equiped with a pool heater that will have this oasis to 87 plus degrees within several hrs or less.
