THIS STUNNING DESIGN ENCOMPASSES ALL THE KEY ELEMENTS NEEDED TO CREATE A KITCHEN THAT IS BEAUTIFUL, FUNCTIONAL, AND TIMELESS. The deep blue island with a fitted wine fridge is perfect for hosting and entertaining. We added a walnut breakfast bar, which was a step up from the rest of the island, as per the client's request. Serving as a beautiful place for breakfast and with a view of the garden from the patio doors, the wooden worktop also brings a subtle element of nature inside.

Our clients who have 2 teenage children wanted to ensure their design allowed for a good amount of food storage. Through ARCHangels Architects, a clever plan of this extension naturally created a space that could be used as a hidden walk in larder. Noel designed this with the same door finish as the tall oven housing to complete the aesthetics of the design. The family kitchen, dining & living space was deliberately designed to face out into the garden to create maximum social flow of the space. Noel designed the BORA induction & Tepan hob on the Island to face out as so that the cook of the occasion was still involved in the social element with family & friends. The BORA hob used is part of the ‘professional’ range which has a real emphasis on usability & control. The kitchen accommodates a full set of Neff appliances, and an Air Uno vented hob. We also installed this Ceasarstone Quartz worktop, and behind, metro style tiles to the splashback in teal, to add a pop of colour against the white cabinetry. We also exposed the original metal beams which became a feature of this apartment.

When working with small spaces, especially a galley kitchen it is important to achieve a nice proportion of light and dark elements. A dark porcelain floor was selected for its functional and maintenance free properties. Conscious of the fact that we didn't want to create a visually small space by adding more dark components, white shaker style cabinets were selected, along with white appliances and white stone counter top. In order to create a design connection to the floor and create some visual interest, a black linear strip of tile runs along the back-splash with a field of white 3x6 tile.

Теперь к слову о наливных полах. Это была давняя моя мечта. И наконец осуществленная. Они маркие. Очень. Каждый волосок, каждая пылинка. Без робота-пылесоса, или без пылесоса типа Dyson, который всегда под рукой, не обойтись. И мыть приходится чаще, чем это делалось раньше. Но! Как же приятно их пылесосить и мыть! Они гладкие, но не скользкие. Они теплые, как паркет. Под ними чувствуются трассы труб отопления, проложенные к радиаторам специально там, где чаще всего ходишь. Автоматически получаются теплые полы. И - самое главное - никаких стыков между разными полами! Они и в кухне, и в спальне, и в ванной, и в гостиной. Мои любимые нарядные белые наливные полы. Да, - и никаких плинтусов!

This house is a bit of a frankenstein. There's been many additions done over the years so we had to keep the kitchen where it was and we sadly couldn't open the space up more due to low bearing walls. We worked with what we had and tried to make the most of it! We wanted to create a fresh and open with white cabinetry and white countertops for a timeless design that will age well with the house.
