Situated just south of Kensington Palace and Gardens (one of the most prestigious locations in London), we find this lovely slim U-shaped kitchen full of style and beauty. Smaller in size but the sleek lines are still evident in this project within the tall cornices and external skirting. We loved working in this stately Victorian building! Our client’s luxury bespoke kitchen journey began with a visit to The Handmade Kitchen Co showroom. The couple were able to see the exquisite quality of our furniture for themselves which would provide them with a unique and personal space that would be loved for many years to come. Our client wanted to showcase their impeccably good taste and opted for our Traditional Raised shaker. It has been highlighted with a black paint hand-painted onto the cabinets known as Black Beauty by Benjamin Moore. It’s a rich shade of black with a hint of warmth. Versatile and sophisticated, black is a colour that can enhance any style of home, whether cosy or chic, soft or bold. Incorporating black paint, whether subtly or boldly, can make a significant impact on interior design. This kitchen isn’t just a culinary experience but is designed to make memories with loved ones in the space they call the heart of the home. Enhancing the cooking journey is the Rangemaster Classic Deluxe 110cm Dual Fuel Range Cooking in Black & Brass Trim which has been put alongside the cutting-edge Westin Prime extractor. Having a clear direction of how our clients wanted their kitchen style, they opted for a Nivito Brass sink, Quooker PRO3 Fusion Round Tap in Gold & Quooker Cube and a Quooker Soak Dispenser in Gold. All three items instantly add grandeur to the space, while maintaining a balanced and understated presence. To offset the boldness of the Black Beauty cabinetry, the Calacatta Viola Marble Honed worktops provide a striking contrast with their pristine polished finish. This juxtaposition creates a visually captivating and inviting kitchen space. The intricate features make up the kitchen design and the ones in this space are the decorative cornices and the Armac Martin ‘Bakes’ cabinet handles in burnished brass. Throughout this London townhouse, there was beautiful scribing in each room. Our client wanted it to flow nicely throughout the whole property and added it to the rooms we designed – the kitchen and bedroom. Adding to the theme and grandeur of the building, these decorative cornices look beautiful amongst the high ceilings.

Peter Rymwid Architectural Photography Once a small bedroom for a governess, now creatively converted to "Le Petit Pantry de Plumberry" Just steps away from the Master Bedroom, Dressing Area and Atrium lies a pantry like no other! A small, yet fully functional kitchen capable of fulfilling any request or appetite! The cherry cabinetry is finished in a beautiful French blue-grey striate with accents of walnut and adorned with polished nickel and crystal glass knobs. The extraordinary white Calacatta Romano marble countertops are reflected in the hand cut marble mosaics extending the full height of the wall providing a breathtaking moment upon entering this room. A quick cup of fresh hot coffee, espresso or cappuccino is easily accessible as Monsieur dresses for the start of his business day. Maybe he has time to sit at the marble peninsula and enjoy the view and the fireplace as he reads the morning paper and listens to the stock and traffic news. The refrigerator is elegantly camouflaged as an antique mirrored armoire. Inside is an undisclosed amount of cookie dough that serves to cure Madame's fervor for fresh shortbreads with her afternoon tea or a quick snack for the little one's playing in the Atrium. Simply place a few dollops of dough and place in the speed oven for just several minutes and voila. Monsieur loves to prepare a full breakfast for his d'amour as they lounge in their chambers on a lazy morning, along with hot baked croissants, frothing lattes, and fresh berries and cream. Everything he needs is just within reach...a fully stocked refrigerator, induction cooktop, speed oven and concealed dishwasher to provide an easy clean up.

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space. --- Project designed by the Atomic Ranch featured modern designers at Breathe Design Studio. We relocated the fridge to the other side of the kitchen where it is conveniently within reach. One of the rules we try to follow with every kitchen we design is to avoid placing the refrigerator at the “back” of the kitchen. The end goal is always to provide the most flowing, and functional floorplan while keeping in mind an efficient kitchen work triangle. Final photos by Impressia Photography.

Kitchen is Center In our design to combine the apartments, we centered the kitchen - making it a dividing line between private and public space; vastly expanding the storage and work surface area. We discovered an existing unused roof penetration to run a duct to vent out a powerful kitchen hood. The original bathroom skylight now illuminates the central kitchen space. Without changing the standard skylight size, we gave it architectural scale by carving out the ceiling to maximize daylight. Light now dances off the vaulted, sculptural angles of the ceiling to bathe the entire space in natural light.

We love the clean and crisp lines of this beautiful German manufactured kitchen in Hither Green. The inclusion of the peninsular island which houses the Siemens induction hob, creates much needed additional work top space and is a lovely sociable way to cook and entertain. The completely floor to ceiling cabinets, not only look stunning but maximise the storage space available. The combination of the warm oak Nebraska doors, wooden floor and yellow glass splash back compliment the matt white lacquer doors perfectly and bring a lovely warmth to this open plan kitchen space.
