Their home was new construction in a modern farmhouse style. We used gravel and concrete as paving. Board formed concrete firepit keeps it feeling modern. The vegetable beds supply season vegetables and herbs.

Nel mio giardino sperimento la resistenza delle piante mediterranee in terreni "sulla carta" non adatti. L'assenza totale d'irrigazione mi ha portato negli anni a selezionare le specie più resistenti alla siccità e a riproporle poi nei miei lavori.
La gestione si limita a due interventi di potatura suddivisi in uno a fine estate ed un altro a fine inverno. Il diserbo manuale delle infestanti è ridotto all'osso per via dell'allelopatia e della funzione di coprisuolo che hanno molte piante mediterranee.
Nonostante tutto le piante godono di ottima salute e per quanto la vivacità del giardino vada di pari passo con le precipitazioni, le sorprese non mancano mai.
Un giardino che aiuta a capire i ritmi della natura, facile da gestire e perfettamente replicabile.

After installing a new section to their own gardens they now had a section that was not maintainable with their lawn mower. We came up with a beautiful solution that matches their unique flagstone flower be edging. This project came out great and fits the gardens perfectly.
Plan-it Earth DesignA long trellis with arbor provides privacy for the sunken path around the house. People walking on the sidewalk would be able to see right into the house without it. Large round boulders create a natural retaining wall around this corner property

Bredder Land ManagementRemoved existing paved walkway and regraded entire yard with 30 tons of topsoil to create a lush and green yard that flows into the stone patio, and to the wrap around porch. The porch and patio seamlessly flow to the raised garden, contained by a bluestone-capped fieldstone retaining wall. Soft Touch Japanese Hollys and Lentin Roses, some Butterfly Bushes and a Burning Bush fill in the raised bed nicely, and will only look better once mature!
