For the kitchen we designed bespoke cabinetry to fit the galley style and maximise the use of space to best effect. Love the soft blue colour and clean lines of the shaker style cabinetry, paired with warming brass fittings and lighting. The original fireplace provides a pretty decorative feature, with attractive shelving above. Photographer: Nick Smith

Sink run in an L shaped oak shaker style kitchen with three orange pendant lights hanging above. The cabinets are painted in Farrow & Ball Ammonite. The butler's sink goes well with engineered quartz worktop. The raised breakfast bar has an oak worktop that adds warmth. The flooring add a quirkiness to the kitchen. Charlie O'Beirne

Photography: Karina Illovska The kitchen is divided into different colours to reduce its bulk and a surprise pink study inside it has its own little window. The front rooms were renovated to their former glory with replica plaster reinstated. A tasmanian Oak floor with a beautiful matt water based finish was selected by jess and its light and airy. this unifies the old and new parts. Colour was used playfully. Jess came up with a diverse colour scheme that somehow works really well. The wallpaper in the hall is warm and luxurious.

The old Kitchen had natural wood cabinets that extended to the ceiling and dark stone countertops. Kitchen remodel within the existing 12′ x 13′ footprint. By vaulting the ceilings, neutralizing the palette and adding skylights, we brought in more volume and light to the space. These elements along with the window over the sink make the space feel much larger and lighter.

Nothing says "I love you" more than a kitchen renovation! These homeowners decided to celebrate their nuptials in the best possible way- with a new kitchen! We love how elegant the space is with the Pewter finish by Wolf Cabinetry, the classic white quartz, and herringbone tile backsplash. We wish you many years of beautiful memories- enjoy! Cabinets: Wolf Classic Dartmouth 5 piece in Pewter. Countertop: Calacatta Verona Q Stone Backsplash: Herringbone- Emma White 3X6 Subway Flooring: Mannington Vinyl plank- AduraMax Lakeview/Treeline MAX093 Additional project notes: Wolf soft close rollout, double trash pullout, wire tray divider Thoughts from the customers: 1. What were you looking for in your remodel? We were looking to completely redo the space. We knew we needed a new layout to accommodate the need for more storage, but also to update the extremely outdated cabinets, flooring, etc. to bring it out of 1960 and into 2020. 2. What do you love most about your remodel? I obviously love that everything is brand new. My favorite physical feature is definitely the new backsplash and countertops that we chose! I also have never had soft close drawers so those are spectacular! 3. What was your main concern when deciding on a remodeling company? We really just didn’t want it to take a long time! We were at home during the whole thing because of the pandemic, so it was not realistic to live without a kitchen for months. 4. What made you choose O’Hanlon Kitchens? Would you recommend O’Hanlon Kitchens? Tracy was a great designer, and we ultimately went with O’Hanlon because she discovered some details about the kitchen and it’s functional space that others overlooked and even we didn’t notice. She was then able to render a very nice drawing of what we could expect our kitchen to look like, which was helpful. Yes, I would recommend O’Hanlon! Side Street Suite is a contemporary 640-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that sits perched among trees in Minneapolis. The homeowner is an empty nester who no longer desired to inhabit a 2,700 square feet home. A unique solution was to build a one-bedroom ADU in the backyard of his rental duplex. The ADU feels much larger than would seem possible thanks to strategically placed glass on all exterior walls and roof. The home is expanded with unique views which in turn create a dynamic experience of the path of sunlight over the course of the day. The kitchen is compact yet well-appointed, offering most of the amenities of a larger home, albeit in more compact form. The bedroom is flanked by a walk-in closet and a full bathroom containing a combination washer/dryer. Playful, bold colors enliven the interiors: blue stair treads and wood handrail and blue quartz countertop. Exterior materials of composite wood siding and cement board panels were chosen for low-maintenance and durability. Bikers passing by the property often give the owner a thumbs-up, indicative of neighborhood enthusiasm and support for “building small.”
