My youngest client ever! I met this 4 year old's parents when they had me over to take a look at their on going living room project. After working on a couple of spaces in their West Loop building, they had come to know me and my work. We started, instead, with the daughters room. It was a total blank slate. They parents wanted something girly, but not pink, youthful but not toddler, and vintage but not traditional. I understood exactly what this room needed.

This room was a transformation from a very common looking citrus green bedroom with sisal carpet, to a true ballet dancers paradise.
The carpet was ripped and out replaced with white washed wood floors. The walls were painted "Go Girl Pink" by Kelley Moore. We added big, traditional wainscoting with very overt details and replaced the mirrors and added a ballet bar for a charming practice area.

A second bedroom
The Bridgeport's open floor plan provides great flow and includes a family room featuring raised ceilings with wood beams. The country kitchen offers plenty of cabinets, a pantry, and an oversized work island. A stepped ceiling in the dining room and foyer help give this home an airy feel. The master suite features cathedral ceilings with wood beams in the bedroom plus a soaking tub, custom shower, and twin lavatories.

Your Favorite Room By Cathy Zaeske
This dining room turned playroom turned homework/music room has a collected feel to it. Beautiful grasscloth walls, a soft warm gray and textured white curtains provide a neutral backdrop to fun pops of color. A reupholstered cane wingback in a funky colorful pattern, an antique Canadian Public School chair, a gallery wall filled with all sorts of treasured and DIY items, layered rugs and Louis ghost chairs all work together to give this space a unique, collected vibe. It reflects the vibrant spirit of the homeowners that won't be pinned down to just one style.
