Mountain Peek is a custom residence located within the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. The layout of the home was heavily influenced by the site. Instead of building up vertically the floor plan reaches out horizontally with slight elevations between different spaces. This allowed for beautiful views from every space and also gave us the ability to play with roof heights for each individual space. We are thrilled of how this custom built bar turned out! The bar is made from reclaimed barn board found at a local mill in Connecticut. The countertop and backsplash are granite. The cabinets are refinished with some glass doors. The floor is plank flooring. A perfect place for entertaining family and friends.

How big should my rustic home bar be?

The ideal style of your rustic home bar will depend on your lifestyle and entertaining habits as well as the amount of available space. If big groups come round regularly then you should consider dedicating a part of your living room or basement to a larger seating area – complete with a bar table, bar stools and wet bar section – to keep everyone suitably comfortable and merry.
