The homeowners wanted their basement to be an exciting and varied entertainment space for the whole family. For the children’s favorite activities, the architects designed spaces for a dance studio, craft area, Murphy beds for sleepovers and an indoor sports court. © Bob Narod Photography / BOWA

Toys can really begin to take over the house - so figuring out an organization system will not only make you happy but it's a great way to teach those tykes the importance of organization. For the smaller toys that can easily be lost, the Bisley Filing Cabinet from The Container Store is great. The bright colors look great and the variety of drawer inserts can be tailored to the pieces you are storing. Each drawer has a label for easy identification.

What could be more fun than a slide in your bedroom? This playful room was designed for two imaginative little girls, ages two and four. Everything from the slide bunk beds, princess castle canopy, tea party area, and child sized sofa was designed with these two beauties in mind. We striped some of the walls in a green-yellow while wallpapering the others in an Osborne & Little wallpaper. Laney designed a custom chalkboard with scalloped edges and custom window treatments that frame the window seat and closet. Nothing was left to chance including the ceiling which features a ribbon mural over the princess tower!
