All the wood used in the remodel of this ranch house in South Central Kansas is reclaimed material. Berry Craig, the owner of Reclaimed Wood Creations Inc. searched the country to find the right woods to make this home a reflection of his abilities and a work of art. It started as a 50 year old metal building on a ranch, and was striped down to the red iron structure and completely transformed. It showcases his talent of turning a dream into a reality when it comes to anything wood. Show him a picture of what you would like and he can make it!

The most notable design component is the exceptional use of reclaimed wood throughout nearly every application. Sourced from not only one, but two different Indiana barns, this hand hewn and rough sawn wood is used in a variety of applications including custom cabinetry with a white glaze finish, dark stained window casing, butcher block island countertop and handsome woodwork on the fireplace mantel, range hood, and ceiling. Underfoot, Oak wood flooring is salvaged from a tobacco barn, giving it its unique tone and rich shine that comes only from the unique process of drying and curing tobacco. Photo Credit: Ashley Avila

This home sits in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Jackson Wyoming. Natural elements like stone, wood and leather combined with a warm color palette give this barn apartment a rustic and inviting feel. The footprint of the barn is 36ft x 72ft leaving an expansive 2,592 square feet of living space in the apartment as well as the barn below. Custom touches were added by the client with the help of their builder and include a deck off the side of the apartment with a raised dormer roof, roll-up barn entry doors and various decorative details. These apartment models can accommodate nearly any floor plan design you like. Posts that are located every 12ft support the structure meaning that walls can be placed in any configuration and are non-load baring.

Ah, the kitchen! The focal point of any home, and this one is no exception. The owners wanted an open floor plan that would accommodate entertaining with a rustic feel while maximizing the ocean view. This kitchen we designed accomplishes all that...and then some! Onto the details: the counter tops are granite, and we supplied and installed the wood floors, which are made up of random width rustic reclaimed antique heart pine. The cabinets are Candlelight Bridgeport in Cherry with a Merlot finish (and they complement the stainless steel appliances perfectly). The kitchen faucet is manufactured by Rohl. It's the Country Pullout faucet in satin nickel. The center island provides an additional work surface as well as storage and easy access to the wine selections.

The rustic, exposed wood beams across the ceiling lift the eye up and visually widen the space. A hard-wearing porcelain tile that replicated the look of clay pavers was installed in a diagonal pattern.

The focal point of the kitchen is a custom wood hood with corbels. The built-in hutch is made from a combination of original butlers pantry base cabinets and new glass front wall cabinets and trim to create a unique piece that gives the feeling that it has been there for hundred years.

High Country Pine Kitchen Image#5323.1 Photographer Phillip Beaurline This is a serious custom kitchen design, created for an American country home. Robust detail and a distinctive custom finish, elevate the informal knotty pine to a suitable medium for cabinetry in a country estate, or an elegant town home. The bolection molding, applied to all of the solid pine panel frames, invites us to the comfort of daily meals and family activities. “Custom” really means, “individual design, and hand crafting, to enhance the daily, family experience.”
