A relaxing entertainment area becomes a pivot point around an existing two-sided fireplace leading to the stairs to the bedrooms above. A simple walnut mantle was designed to help this transition.

This contemporary condominium is high-in-the-sky living at it's best. La Scala incorporated sound, video, shading, shade and lighting control, and temperature control into this room's automation system.

The owners of this downtown Wichita condo contacted us to design a fireplace for their loft living room. The faux I-beam was the solution to hiding the duct work necessary to properly vent the gas fireplace. The ceiling height of the room was approximately 20' high. We used a mixture of real stone veneer, metallic tile, & black metal to create this unique fireplace design. The division of the faux I-beam between the materials brings the focus down to the main living area. Photographer: Fred Lassmann

Living room space that provides a pop of color and divides the living room from the dining room on the right with the color blocks. The main colors of the sofa and flooring are neutral, to add additional color pillows and accents are featured to bring life and comfort to the space.
Going up the Victorian front stair you enter Unit B at the second floor which opens to a flexible living space - previously there was no interior stair access to all floors so part of the task was to create a stairway that joined three floors together - so a sleek new stair tower was added. Eclecticism at 100% in Colombia. This living room combines more than 10 different styles, from the modern sofa to the pair of inherited 200 year old European pictures. A classic Louis XV chair was totally scaled by the owner. The bargueño provenzal, that was moved from Italy to Argentina and then to Colombia, contrasts with the white wall. A colorful and original aguayo placed on the pouf ottoman brings modernism to the space and synergizes with the red kilim rug. A carved bronze circular table completes the organic composition of the set.
