In this urban context, we were tasked with finding a low-maintenance landscape solution for our client who travels extensively for work. Our award-winning design created a new seating area centered around a fire pit with bench seating and built-in LED lights to create a destination in the landscape. Our design incorporated low-maintenance materials and hearty plantings to create a serene escape from the city that requires very little upkeep. Large planters display seasonal annuals and frame the raised deck area.
YardDoc
YardDoc designed and created multiple rock landscapes for customers in Austin, TX. These drought resistant landscapes liven up your yard with unique designs and individual beauty. While we craft every landscape to the yard and customer, we present examples here to inspire you.
Working with the existing trees and plants, we built this landscape to match the wrought iron fence.
First, we placed a limestone barrier in a design reminiscent of a lake emptying into a river. Outside the retainer stone, we laid larger, red river rocks. On the inside we placed smaller, black rocks to highlight the rest of our modifications.
We built a stone fire pit in the center then crafted stone benches for seating around the campfire. We built a path our of large, flat stones that bring the different colors and textures together. Finally, we placed one last stone that, while decorative, can also be used as an end table, if necessary.
June Scott Design
Rock outcroppings make a striking background for new lounge areas in this compact Los Angeles hillside garden. Working with the attributes of the site, we added native plants to drape over the stone, and converted hollowed stone planters into a firepit and water feature. New built-in seating and a cozy hammock complete the relaxing space, and dramatic lighting makes it come alive at night.

Lindgren Landscape
This modern landscape includes a shipping container pool, natural Thermory wood decking, charcoal breeze patio @ a custom concrete fire pit. Slab steppers cut into synthetic turf add circulation and a graphic punch while staying low maintenance. Being perched on a hilltop, the pool shell and boulder walls retain the upper living spaces, and help transition to the rear elevation of the lot, and native open space beyond the fence.
Big Rock Landscaping
Privacy and valley views are possible from this hot tub perched at the top of this property. Adding a gas firepit for cooler nights or roasting marshmallows in the summer makes this area perfect for year-round enjoyment.
Golden Gardens And Building
Sunken Fire Pit . The bespoke features are extraordinary with some that are so technically challenging they are almost unique in the UK. Advanced drainage sump system connected to mains, all block work done to the millimetre, re enforced steel bars incorporated into the hollow concrete blocks then filled with concrete
Growsgreen Landscape Design
This space defines the hub of the garden, I placed it in the corner so it is central to the ADU and the dining area/access from the house. The BBQ is now part of the social space. The raised planter and walls all are functions of design but also reflect my solution for the many grading levels on the neighboring perimeter spaces as well as grading within the former space and act to create floating bench and BBQ moments I programmed in. The concrete plinth is for extra seating/food or plant displays.
Cleator Landscape Design
This home was in need of a indoor outdoor entertaining space that would compliment the residents desire for clean lines and crisp architectural elements. By adding a lounging area with fire pit, water feature, outdoor kitchen and dinning spaces all atop modern pavers we were able to greatly increase the useable space while providing the polished look the client longed for.
