Aiden Fabrics
When Andy Wishneff visited Aiden Fabrics, she wanted to update their outdoor furniture cushions for an upcoming family wedding. Timing was of the essence. Designer Mary Ann Carpenter discussed foam options for their bed swing, which depends on the desired degree of maintenance. Looking at pattern and color choices together, the bold pink floral by P/Kaufmann really stood out to the homeowner.
Mary Ann paired it with Outdura’s “Rumor” fabric in Limestone - which happens to be her favorite solid texture - as the base fabric with its soft, chenille-type texture that has an indoor feel. Highlighting the client’s favorite color, solid pink outdoor velvet and a calmer neutral print were chosen for the additional pillows. The end result was a beautiful swing that catches your eye and invites you to stop and sit.

This yard has everything including a way to end the evening. The lakeside firepit sits on a travertine patio and is surrounded by a short granite boulder retaining wall. The annuals around the retaining wall add color to the already stunning view.

The cottage style exterior of this newly remodeled ranch in Connecticut, belies its transitional interior design. The exterior of the home features wood shingle siding along with pvc trim work, a gently flared beltline separates the main level from the walk out lower level at the rear. Also on the rear of the house where the addition is most prominent there is a cozy deck, with maintenance free cable railings, a quaint gravel patio, and a garden shed with its own patio and fire pit gathering area.
