Mediterrasian Landscapes
This photo was taken four years after completion of the landscaping. Four years ago, we renovated this desolate, weedy front yard by creating terraces with beatiful stone retaining walls. Then we added colorful, drought tolerant plants that grow so well in San Francisco's Mediterranean climate. We installed drip irrigation and concealed it with attractive ginger rock pebble mulch.

The hot pink, gold, and orange flowers of 'Irene' lantana attract migrating butterflies in fall, while angelita daisy, Tetraneuris acaulis, blooms cheerfully just about year-round with little care.

This garden was an all lawn front yard with a straight path to the front door and a driveway. The new garden is water-wise, colorful, and has a very low need for maintenance. Beautiful paving materials, artful arbors, large boulders, and very drought-tolerant plants come together to delight the owners with their beauty, setting a serene and relaxing mood and inviting them onto their front porch.

Here's the wide angle. The plants were just planted and are not fully established yet, but are sure to fill out over the course of the year. This Orange County landscape front yard looks lush, but is saving water! The side yard was turned into a gorgeous interlocking paver stone walkway. The front yard's turf has been removed and replaced with mulch.
Our drought tolerant Orange County landscapes use drip irrigation to save you water! Each head is controlled by a water saving smart sprinkler timer system.
Xeriscape can still look lush with small low water fruit trees!

The hillside garden two years after it was planted. This sloped hillside was been transformed into a beautiful tapestry of colors and textures in every season. I specified drought tolerant plants and shrubs that are low maintenance and deer resistant. Located in Novato, CA - Marin County. The hillside has filled in beautifully!
