Our brief was to redesign the space to the rear of the house. We sited the pool, specified some gorgeous Italian pool tiling, re-shaped the decking adding in curves to what was a very ordinary rectangular deck.
Following on with the curves we added a sandstone paved area and within that a dining terrace with a chunky oak pergola to support pendant lighting over the new dining furniture.
We used a drought tolerant planting scheme with a mediterranean palette. The exception to this was the addition of Hydrangea panniculata for those beautiful big white flowers in the summer.
Rabbits were a big problem and plants were also selected with this in mind.

Greey PickettThe landscape of this home honors the formality of Spanish Colonial / Santa Barbara Style early homes in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. By re-grading the lot and allowing for terraced opportunities, we featured a variety of hardscape stone, brick, and decorative tiles that reinforce the eclectic Spanish Colonial feel. Cantera and La Negra volcanic stone, brick, natural field stone, and handcrafted Spanish decorative tiles are used to establish interest throughout the property.
A front courtyard patio includes a hand painted tile fountain and sitting area near the outdoor fire place. This patio features formal Boxwood hedges, Hibiscus, and a rose garden set in pea gravel.
The living room of the home opens to an outdoor living area which is raised three feet above the pool. This allowed for opportunity to feature handcrafted Spanish tiles and raised planters. The side courtyard, with stepping stones and Dichondra grass, surrounds a focal Crape Myrtle tree.
One focal point of the back patio is a 24-foot hand-hammered wrought iron trellis, anchored with a stone wall water feature. We added a pizza oven and barbecue, bistro lights, and hanging flower baskets to complete the intimate outdoor dining space.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignAPLD 2021 Silver Award Winning Landscape Design. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. LuxapatioThis Featured Project is a complete outdoor renovation in Weston Florida. This project included a Covered free standing wood pergola with a cooling mist irrigation system. The outdoor kitchen in this project was a one level bar design with a granite counter and stone wall finish. All of the appliances featured in this outdoor kitchen are part of the Twin Eagle line.
Some other items that where part of this project included a custom TV lift with Granite and stone wall finish as well as furniture from one of the lines featured at our showroom.

Hanna HomesDouble door entry way with a metal and glass gate followed by mahogany french doors. Reclaimed French roof tiles were used to construct the flooring. The stairs made of Jerusalem stone wrap around a French crystal chandelier.
Brad Cox, Architect, Inc.In order to showcase the tile backsplash, the clients elected to forgo upper cabinets and instead utilize open shelving. These two pullouts, designed to hold spices and oils, are conveniently located adjacent to the six-burner gas range.
The Bazeley PartnershipThis specialized, state-of-the-art, 350m² wine cellar sits beneath the new Arts and Crafts-inspired private residence near Falmouth designed by The Bazeley Partnership.
Housing an extensive collection of vintage wines and champagnes, the concept was influenced by the client's desire for an 'Old World' French and Tuscan theme.
Accessed from ground floor level by lift and a bespoke, arch-formed staircase, the newly created underground space has reinforced concrete walls with barrell-vaulted ceilings clad in stone, supported by stone columns and arches forming storage niches.
In order to keep the valuable contents in optium condition, the cellar is naturally ventilated using anti-bacterial, silver-lined ducts installed below the cellar's structural floor slab.
Drewett WorksIt's all about refined comfort in the light-filled master bedroom where reclaimed oak flooring, a sophisticated coffered ceiling and a hand-carved fireplace surround are the defining elements.

Maraya Interior DesignNew Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) Thank you to our wonderful craftsman and enthusiastic vendors!
