The blue walls of the living room add a relaxed feel to this room. The many features such as original floor boards, the victorian fireplace, the working shutters and the ornate cornicing and ceiling rose were all restored to their former glory.

The deep, inky-toned paint was used to wrap the whole room, creating drama and luxury. The period features from this double-fronted reception room were fully restored and the fireplace was restored. We chose a warm wood for the floor, in a herringbone pattern to add a sense of warmth and luxury. A 1920s sofa was reupholstered, alongside a vintage cocktail chair, keeping the palette consistent, and allowing the pops of colour to come from the artwork and feature lighting. The pink Murano glass chandelier is a dramatic focal point, both playful and theatrical. We introduced touches of brass to complement the colours and textures. The velvet on the furniture gives a sense of inviting comfort. Bespoke roman blinds, also in the colour palette of the space, allow lots of light into the room and do not intrude on the sofa placed against the window.

This stunning living room showcases large windows with a lake view, cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams, and a gas double-sided fireplace with a custom blend of Augusta and Quincy natural ledgestone thin veneer. Quincy stones bring a variety of grays, blues, and tan tones to your stone project. The lighter colors help contrast the darker tones of this stone and create depth in any size project. The golden veins add some highlights the will brighten your project. The stones are rectangular with squared edges that are great for creating a staggered brick look. Most electronics and appliances blend well with this stone. The rustic look of antiques and various artwork are enhanced with Quincy stones in the background.

This is a great small space that needed a total refresh. The project included fresh paint and lighting, new rugs, furniture, art and accessories. The dramatic change in the look of the space truly is from correct paint colors, lighting and furniture. The client was so happy!!!

We collaborated with THESIS Studio and JHL Design on this expansive remodel of a 1920s Tudor home near NE Alberta. This ambitious remodel included reconfiguring the first floor, adding a dining room/sunroom off the kitchen, transforming the second floor into a master suite, and replacing nearly all finishes in the home. The unique fixtures, rich color palette, whimsical wallpaper, and clever design details combine to create a modern fairy tale while letting the home’s historic character shine. This modern renovation creates a focal point for a cool and modern living room with a linear fireplace surrounded by a wall of wood grain granite. The TV nook is recessed for safety and to create a flush plane for the stone and television. The firebox is enhanced with black enamel panels as well as driftwood and crystal media. The stainless steel surround matches the mixed metal accents of the furnishings.
