The deep, inky-toned paint was used to wrap the whole room, creating drama and luxury. The period features from this double-fronted reception room were fully restored and the fireplace was restored. We chose a warm wood for the floor, in a herringbone pattern to add a sense of warmth and luxury. A 1920s sofa was reupholstered, alongside a vintage cocktail chair, keeping the palette consistent, and allowing the pops of colour to come from the artwork and feature lighting. The pink Murano glass chandelier is a dramatic focal point, both playful and theatrical. We introduced touches of brass to complement the colours and textures. The velvet on the furniture gives a sense of inviting comfort. Bespoke roman blinds, also in the colour palette of the space, allow lots of light into the room and do not intrude on the sofa placed against the window.

This stunning living room showcases large windows with a lake view, cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams, and a gas double-sided fireplace with a custom blend of Augusta and Quincy natural ledgestone thin veneer. Quincy stones bring a variety of grays, blues, and tan tones to your stone project. The lighter colors help contrast the darker tones of this stone and create depth in any size project. The golden veins add some highlights the will brighten your project. The stones are rectangular with squared edges that are great for creating a staggered brick look. Most electronics and appliances blend well with this stone. The rustic look of antiques and various artwork are enhanced with Quincy stones in the background.

Previously used as an office, this space had an awkwardly placed window to the left of the fireplace. By removing the window and building a bookcase to match the existing, the room feels balanced and symmetrical. Panel molding was added (by the homeowner!) and the walls were lacquered a deep navy. Bold modern green lounge chairs and a trio of crystal pendants make this cozy lounge next level. A console with upholstered ottomans keeps cocktails at the ready while adding two additional seats.

We collaborated with THESIS Studio and JHL Design on this expansive remodel of a 1920s Tudor home near NE Alberta. This ambitious remodel included reconfiguring the first floor, adding a dining room/sunroom off the kitchen, transforming the second floor into a master suite, and replacing nearly all finishes in the home.
The unique fixtures, rich color palette, whimsical wallpaper, and clever design details combine to create a modern fairy tale while letting the home’s historic character shine.

Duck-egg and pale blue living room scheme - a small duck-egg sofa (on view) with a larger sofa along the back wall (behind the camera) in a soft pale blue linen. This London townhouse benefits from beautiful original mouldings around the high ceilings, and a stunning marble fireplace surround. We put antique brass wall lights over the fireplace, and modernised the room a little by fitting sisal herringbone carpet; keeping it both fresh and a bit more casual. Styling the bookcases was such a part of decorating this room, as was choosing all the fun but soft fabrics; including all the cushions on that back sofa you can't see here! The curtains are duck-egg green in colour, and such a fun but soft pattern. I also love a bit of embroidery in my fabrics, which we get with that cushion you can see on the armchair.

The heart of the home is the reception room where deep blues from the Tyrrhenian Seas beautifully coalesce with soft whites and soupçons of antique gold under a bespoke chandelier of 1,800 hand-hung crystal droplets.
