Lake Country Cottage
Set between woods and water, this house replaced a dilapidated cottage built ninety years ago by the owner's grandparents. The openness of the plan and the shapes of the rooms exude the casual, simple lifestyle of a summer home. This sense of airiness is further reinforced by the oversized windows and multiple entries. The new home was designed to fit the beautiful furniture built by the owner's grandfather for the original cottage. It is further anchored to its heritage and place by the use of a green & white color scheme, a classic combination in this lake district of Ontario.
