Snug KitchensSnug Kitchens
Our Snug Kitchens showroom display combines bespoke traditional joinery, seamless modern appliances and a touch of art deco from the fluted glass walk in larder. The 'Studio Green' painted cabinetry creates a bold background that highlights the kitchens brass accents. Including Armac Martin Sparkbrook brass handles and patinated brass Quooker fusion tap. The Neolith Calacatta Luxe worktop uniquely combines deep grey tones, browns and subtle golds on a pure white base. The veneered oak cabinet internals and breakfast bar are stained in a dark wash to compliment the dark green door and drawer fronts. As part of this display we included a double depth walk-in larder, complete with suspended open shelving, u-shaped worktop slab and fluted glass paneling. We hand finished the support rods to patina the brass ensuring they matched the other antique brass accents in the kitchen. The decadent fluted glass panels draw you into the space, obscuring the view into the larder, creating intrigue to see what is hidden behind the door.

The stately entrance is fueled by the column’s, welcoming any guest to the future of custom estates that integrate modern features while keeping one foot in the past. The lamps hanging from the ceiling along the kitchen of the interior is a chic twist of the antique, tying in with the exposed brick overlaying the exterior. These staple fixtures of New Orleans style, transport you to an era bursting with life along the French founded streets. This two-story single-family residence includes five bedrooms, six and a half baths, and is approximately 8,210 square feet in size. The one of a kind three car garage fits his and her vehicles with ample room for a collector car as well. The high ceilings in the living room are accentuated by deep brown high beams that complement the cool tones of the living area. An antique wooden barn door tucked in the corner of the living room leads to a mancave with a bespoke bar and a lounge area, reminiscent of a speakeasy from another era. In a nod to the modern practicality that is desired by families with young kids, a massive laundry room also functions as a mudroom with locker style cubbies and a homework and crafts area for kids. The custom staircase leads to another vintage barn door on the 2nd floor that opens to reveal provides a wonderful family loft with another hidden gem: a secret attic playroom for kids! Rounding out the exterior, massive balconies with French patterned railing overlook a huge backyard with a custom pool and spa that is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city. Roman shades originated in ancient Rome, when homeowners hung wet cloths over their windows to trap dust from the outside and keep the heat in check. Over time, this practical solution evolved into an aesthetic expression of the homeowner. Today, Roman shades are a great combination of utility and fashion. Somewhere between hard window treatments like blinds or shutters, and soft treatments like curtains or drapes, Roman shades combine the best of both into a unique solution for almost any window! With a variety of lift options and a virtually unlimited line of fabrics to choose from, we can help you find the right Roman shades that perfectly accentuate your living space and reflect your personal style. Whether your personal style leans more toward casual, classic, or elegant, there’s a Roman shade style that’s perfect for your home. The choices are limitless—classic, flat, relaxed, and more! Roman shades (or Roman blinds, as they are sometimes called) give you the look of costly custom shades at an affordable price that will surprise you. All the Roman fabric shades from Gotcha Covered lay smoothly, evenly, and gracefully into soft folds. Additionally, Top down, Bottom Up gives you the flexibility to have open window space when and where you want it to expose those views or allow more natural light in while still maintaining privacy.

Compost Drawer. The Jack + Mare designed and built this custom kitchen and dining remodel for a family in Portland's Sellwood Westmoreland Neighborhood. The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to create an inviting and flowing space with custom details in all directions. The custom maple dining table was locally milled and crafted from a tree that had previously fallen in Portland's Laurelhurst neighborhood; and the built-in L-shaped maple banquette provides unique comfortable seating with drawer storage beneath. The integrated kitchen and dining room has become the social hub of the house – the table can comfortably sit up to 10 people! Being that the kitchen is visible from the dining room, the refrigerator and dishwasher are hidden behind cabinet door fronts that seamlessly tie-in with the surrounding cabinetry creating a warm and inviting space. The end result is a highly functional kitchen for the chef and a comfortable and practical space for family and friends. Details: custom cabinets (designed by The J+M) with shaker door fronts, a baker's pantry, built-in banquette with integrated storage, custom local silver maple table, solid oak flooring to match original 1925 flooring, white ceramic tile backsplash, new lighting plan featuring a Cedar + Moss pendant, all L.E.D. can lights, Carrara marble countertops, new larger windows to bring in more natural light and new trim. The combined kitchen and dining room is 281 Square feet. Photos by: Jason Quigley Photography

A new contemporary kitchen for a family that loves to cook. The owners ' European preferences lead to the selection of the German made cabinets by Bulthaup. The crisp cabinet styling and sophisticated engineering allowed for a clean, minimal style. White cabinets and backsplash defined the walls. Darker cabinets and appliances defined areas of focus. Folding exterior doors enabled the entire corner to open to the deck and rear yard. Remote controlled screens lower from the ceiling to create a screened breakfast area. DLux Images
