Transitional kitchen taken from late 1950's to contemporary today. We opted to take down a wall separating the mudroom from the kitchen which allowed us to put in this pretty bar peninsula with overhead stainless cook-top vent. Where you see the refrigerator used to be a very small pantry and we cleverly put floor to ceiling cabinets to house many kitchen items. The microwave is skillfully hidden behind two doors and at eye level.

Phase 2 of our Modern Cottage project was the complete renovation of a small, impractical kitchen and dining nook. The client asked for a fresh, bright kitchen with natural light, a pop of color, and clean modern lines. The resulting kitchen features all of the above and incorporates fun details such as a scallop tile backsplash behind the range and artisan touches such as a custom walnut island and floating shelves; a custom metal range hood and hand-made lighting.
