piquThis stylish and sophisticated dark grey German handle less kitchen in Hayes features an ‘L’ shaped layout with a peninsular island. This allows for the open plan living space to be perfectly zoned. There is a practical ‘work-space’ on one side with the Siemens induction hob, ovens, fridge and freezer and seating on the other which is great for entertaining. As always, our bespoke kitchens are designed and built to suit lifestyle and family needs and this one is no exception. Plenty of island seating and really importantly, lots of room to move around it. Large cabinets and deep drawers for convenient storage plus accessible shelving for cook books and a wine fridge perfectly positioned for the cook! Look closely and you’ll see that the larder is shallow in depth. This was deliberately (and cleverly!) designed to accommodate a large beam behind the back of the cabinet, yet still allows this run of cabinets to look balanced.
We’re loving the distinctive brass handles by Armac Martin against the Hardwicke White paint colour on the cabinetry - along with the Hand Silvered Antiqued mirror splashback there’s plenty of up-to-the-minute design details which ensure this classic shaker is contemporary yes classic in equal measure.
British Standard by Plain EnglishA white kitchen, colour blocked though, by a dark contrasting island with ribbed sink and a run of tall cupboards drenched in blue. Nothing dull here. Copper accents add form and weight, a tonal extractor fan and archway into the tiny (but mighty) utility room perform their architectural duties. Traditional marble worktops add a final authoritative point.

This client already had a Hill Farm Furniture kitchen and when they decided to make the area bigger, they asked us back. We redesigned the layout of the kitchen, taking into account their growing family's needs. Bespoke cabinets in a fresh new colour with new Broughton of Leicester door and drawer handles, new appliances and taps created a brand new cosy and homely kitchen. And we didn't stop there, designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke vanity units in the cottage's new ensuite and bathroom.

Painted in Little Greene Basalt and Urbane Grey, with White Arabesque Silestone worktops. The creation of a false chimney gives the kitchen a focal point. The first thing that catches your eye upon entering this kitchen is the striking lime green cabinets finished in Little Greene ‘Citrine’, adorned with elegant brushed golden handles from Heritage Brass.

There is a practical ‘work-space’ on one side with the Siemens induction hob, ovens, fridge and freezer and seating on the other which is great for entertaining. Stunning Black Beauty Sensa stone has been used for a full height backsplash and for a featured raised section on the kitchen island. This has been coupled with a worktop in Compac Glaciar Quartz that reaches down to the floor.
H. Miller BrosOur design process is set up to tease out what is unique about a project and a client so that we can create something peculiar to them. When we first went to see this client, we noticed that they used their fridge as a kind of notice board to put up pictures by the kids, reminders, lists, cards etc… with magnets onto the metal face of the old fridge. In their new kitchen they wanted integrated appliances and for things to be neat, but we felt these drawings and cards needed a place to be celebrated and we proposed a cork panel integrated into the cabinet fronts… the idea developed into a full band of cork, stained black to match the black front of the oven, to bind design together. It also acts as a bit of a sound absorber (important when you have 3yr old twins!) and sits over the splash back so that there is a lot of space to curate an evolving backdrop of things you might pin to it.
In this design, we wanted to design the island as big table in the middle of the room. The thing about thinking of an island like a piece of furniture in this way is that it allows light and views through and around; it all helps the island feel more delicate and elegant… and the room less taken up by island. The frame is made from solid oak and we stained it black to balance the composition with the stained cork.
The sink run is a set of floating drawers that project from the wall and the flooring continues under them - this is important because again, it makes the room feel more spacious. The full height cabinets are purposefully a calm, matt off white. We used Farrow and Ball ’School house white’… because its our favourite ‘white’ of course! All of the whitegoods are integrated into this full height run: oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a gigantic pantry cupboard.
A sweet detail is the hand turned cabinet door knobs - The clients are music lovers and the knobs are enlarged versions of the volume knob from a 1970s record player.
