We love this crib with the upholstery on the sides, so luxurious. The details on the crib are adorable and enhanced with the bedding. Very neutral and tailored, quilted bedskirt with a pink band at the bottom, striped fitted sheet and the little pink bow and welting at the bumper. The art above brings the whole room together with the colors and organic prints.
Needless to say, its a convertible crib in gray upholstery, if and when a baby boy should join the family.
Our choices for furniture has clean lines that are modern and masculine with white washed wood finish giving it that hint of classic detail. Color palette wise, we made the nursery neutral with blush accents to make it girly.
Breathe Design Studio
Breathe Design Studio helped this young family select their design finishes and furniture. Before the house was built, we were brought in to make selections from what the production builder offered and then make decisions about what to change after completion. Every detail from design to furnishing was accounted for from the beginning and the result is a serene modern home in the beautiful rolling hills of Bee Caves, Austin.

The client wanted a full make-over of his daughter’s dark and cluttered bedroom. The daughter requested a pink and white palette with a touch of floral motif. We changed her single bed for a loft bed which created a reading nook and lounge area below. We added a fun pink shelving unit and lifted it up off the ground onto the wall to accommodate the floor heater. We organized her treasures and collections, installed a bookshelf for all her reading material, and created better storage in her cupboard. We recommended a fresh coat of white paint on 3 of the walls, as well as a floral wallpaper panel on the fourth wall. The Brass ceiling fixture is stylish, and the reading lamp is functional and pretty. With her custom black-out curtains she has full privacy and can sleep even after the sun comes up. The carpet creates a focal point and makes her lounge area very inviting. The chair is compact but big enough to support her well into her teens.

Patterns are used in abundance in this gorgeous bedroom.
Monochrome is used heavily to temper down the mustard and pink scheme and prevent it from becoming too girly.
A dedicated reading nook with super cosy and comfy day bed also unfolds to create a guest sleepover bed.
The metal locker provides ample clothes and toy/activity/crafting storage.

The canopy is the design feature in the room. Its the first thing you see as you enter the room. We brought in the canopy to add a sense of whimsy and to create a playful corner for storybooks, times outs, naps, tea parties and snuggles. It'll be the perfect background for many milestone pictures to come and make this nursery the talk of the town.

We laid out all of the essentials with maximum function. Once we had a the layout finalized, we started looking for specifics. The color palette we came up with is grounded in neutrals with blush accents to add a touch of baby girl. We always want to maximise function in a room, so all our bigger purchases are gender neutral and convertible so they can be used when our clients have their second baby.
We left plenty of empty space in the middle of the room for the essential tummy time and block building.

The dresser is a dresser and will grow with our little girl once she is past diapers and onwards to makeup / books / maps. The wood has an aged white finish and will carry the wear and tear of growing up beautifully.
