D. Buckley DesignLindsay and her husband Geoff have a new home in Washington D.C. and needed to transform the extra room in to a space suitable for their new little addition. I was excited to take on the project, using Lindsay's beloved childhood stuffed penguin 'Pengi' as a starting point for inspiration. With an arctic-cool color palette, some great Etsy finds, and a little elbow grease, the room came together perfectly: a modern, arctic nursery for their little boy August. Complete with penguins, of course.

Regan Baker Design Inc.Hired mid demolition, Regan Baker Design helped transform this tech and game savvy family of 4 in need of assistance with the design of their newly purchased Glen Park home. RBD finalized finishes, furniture and installation after 8 months of rebuilding their their 2 story, 3 bedroom 3 bath + Family room home. Finishes, fixtures, custom millwork and furniture were selected to reflect the cat and kid-friendly family, as well as a ton of closed built-in storage for the very well organized family. An RBD favorite includes the custom built-in sofa designed for easy game playing, easy lounging, and easy game storage.

Variety Blinds and ShuttersHunter Douglas blackout Applause Honeycomb cellular shades in the bedrooms keep light out in the mornings and hot afternoons, but still stack tightly at the top of the window so as not to sacrifice views. These are also energy-efficient window treatments that add insulation to the windows.
Lovelace InteriorsCustom built-in bunk beds: We utilized the length and unique shape of the room by building a double twin-over-full bunk wall. This picture is also before a grasscloth wallcovering was installed on the wall behind the bunks.
