Harlem Apartment

The apartment began as a plain white box, with limited architectural interest. The pocket doors between the living room and bedroom, as well as the door to the bathroom, were painted with a high gloss lacquer paint in a deep blue-black to add a punch of interest to the space. The living area is painted a cool, pale blue and the bedroom is painted a deep peacock blue. The large mirror in the entry reflects light and enlarges the space. The sofa is a custom design in an Edelman patent leather. The coffee table is a vintage Italian lucite and brass piece. Photo: John Dolan Photography
