This project was to turn a dated bungalow into a modern house. The objective was to create upstairs living space with a bathroom and ensuite to master.
We installed underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and bathroom. A beautiful new oak staircase was fitted with glass balustrading. To enhance space in the ensuite we installed a pocket door. We created a custom new front porch designed to be in keeping with the new look. Finally, fresh new rendering was installed to complete the house.
This is a modern luxurious property which we are proud to showcase.

A whimsical mural creates a brightness and charm to this hallway. Plush wool carpet meets herringbone timber.

This landing is very light due both to the pale colour scheme but also to the large roof light which has been installed at the top of the stairs.
CLPM project manager tip - roof lights are a very effective way of getting more natural daylight into your home.

A seaside apartment with ocean views - this hallway had some external patio doors blocking it from the dining area. We removed this section completely and repositioned a hallway door further towards the bedrooms, opening up the dining room and giving a better flow into the apartment.
The artworks and soft furnishings are all coastal and use a similar colour palette, giving the rooms cohesive flow.

Exposed brick and beams sticking to the colour palette of black, wood, white and grey. Iron and wood railings.

Restoration of this Georgian staircase. With rebuilt ceiling sky light and modern chandelier. Carpentry detailing of the stair 'waves' recreated leading to the master and guest ensuite. Downstairs the leather clad floor injects a subtle surprise modern uplift.

The style is a timeless mix of contemporary and traditional using pieces from the high street, antiques markets, Etsy and Ebay.
The wooden bi-folds doors enable the front reception to be closed off to provide a cosy sitting room to retreat to in the evenings. These two spaces are defined by the moody wall colours (Farrow and Ball Cornforth White and Pigeon) with vibrant colours coming through the antique rugs.

An existing wall and paneling were removed and a new window installed to create a large 'through' hall providing a visual link fro front to back

Sliding doors with flush handles make the doors unnoticeable. Introduce another pop of colour to the hallway and seating to create a little dressing area hallway.
Red stained wood looks really effective for a different take on feature furniture and adds a pop if colour to the dressing area whilst subtly tying it into the master bedroom scheme.
Bench seats are a great way of creating seating and helping to zone spaces. You can also make extra storage by adding a lid. Very practical for Hallways as they take up very little space.
