Turn of the century brownstone classrooms in this Hells Kitchen community center needed serious updating so we replaced all the outdated fluorescent lighting, patched and painted everything, added brightly colored durable classroom furniture and more. All was lovingly executed with a generous grant from The Junior League of New York City.

This project includes Maple veneer plywood, Italian plastic laminate and Silestone solid surface counter tops. The cut outs one sees in the plywood are of a leaf motif, each one being cut out by hand. There is a solid Maple stair way that leads up to a cantilevered, Maple floored loft area where kids can read. Besides all kinds of storage the unit is capped off with a Maple plywood roof, high lighted by a clam shell cut out.

This contemporary, modern multipurpose kids' room is at Deja View, a Caribbean vacation rental villa in St. John USVI. It provides over 700 sq. ft of entertainment and bunk sleeping for kids and adults. The room stays nice and cool with a dedicated Mitsubishi split AC system. Kids are sure to be entertained with the 75 inch TV and colorful pool table. Seven can sleep comfortable on the five Twin XL and one King beds. Blue led motion sensor lights illuminate every step on the two sets of stairs so kids can safely head to the bathroom at night. The 34' long, 11' tall custom bunks were built in Texas, trucked to Florida and shipped to St. John. Nothing short of comfort, fun and entertainment for the kids here.

The Unbusy Home
This is a young girls' room who was bored of her IKEA furniture and wanted a comfy bed, a huge desk and lots of storage, all of it on less then 9m2.
Hence I designed this compact furniture with storage, including a bed, which can be converted to a desk during the daytime very easily, effortlessly in less then 2 minutes. There is no need to put things away from the desk, everything can stay where it was - you can see the desktop on this image, if you look under the bed, right on the floor.

In this project we added paneling to the existing kitchen island and updated lighting, transformed a bonus space into a fun kids play area, added new furnishings and accessories in the main living room. The staircase got a face lift with new bold wallpaper and a family gallery wall. We also finished the upstairs loft with new wall paint, furnishings, and lighting. Bold art and wallpaper make an appearance in these spaces marrying style and function in the complete design.

This kids bunk bed room has a camping and outdoor vibe. The kids love hiking and being outdoors and this room was perfect for some mountain decals and a little pretend fireplace. We also added custom cabinets around the reading nook bench under the window.
