The barn door opens into the bonus room, providing architectural appeal and a little privacy for the bonus room too. White tile flooring makes for easy maintenance. The alabaster white crown molding and baseboard are a wonderful contrast to the navy blue for a nautical look.
Studio Catoir

In the media room, which also functions as an extra bedroom, the designer created an island-style escape from the New York winter. Arsenic 214 from Farrow & Ball creates a Caribbean oasis in the den. It's a bright color, yet the room feels very soothing and peaceful, like an escape should be. Roman shade in fabric from the Christopher Maya collection by Holland & Sherry. The Clifton lounge by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is covered in brown linen and mohair. A beach photo by Christophe Tedjasukmana completes the Caribbean escape theme.

Design Harmony
Design Dilemma: Our clients needed a place to store their beautiful bass and their extensive collection of books and records. Solution - We transformed this unused corner in the great room into a beautiful and functional storage space.
Using a subtle instrument rack so the client could easily remove the bass to play, we were able to showcase the bass as a work of art and make it a focal point in the space. We also added a rolling ladder to access the top of the bookshelf and to make the space more interesting.
