Griffin Engineering LLCInstallation of a gas fireplace in a family room: This design is painted tumbled brick with solid red oak mantle. The owner wanted shiplap to extend upward from the mantle and tie into the ceiling. The stack was designed to carry up through the roof to provide proper ventilation in a coastal environment. The Household WIFI/Sonos/Surround sound system is integrated behind the TV.
Perspective HomesWe refinished the original 1950's hardwood flooring with a custom stain and matte finish. The feature corner fireplace surround is covered with large format tiles that includes an intricate step detail down to the wall mounted Samsung art tv. We vaulted the ceiling and added two large skylights.

Michelle McKoy DesignsNatural light and a neutral palette with pops of color. The walls are origami white and the floors are white oak with a light stain. The same stain is on the floating shelves and the tops to the built- in storage. The mantel and the beam above are also done in the same stain The dueling sofas are accessorized with blue and orange pillows. The upholstered ottomans and cubes add texture and extra seating to the space. The fireplace is at an angle and is covered in large tile that run vertically. The custom rug was cut to fit the space. Huge doors were added and the windows were put on each side of the fireplace.
Fresh Start InteriorsThis coastal kitchen needed a refresh. Its solid wood cabinets were painted in a sage green, with putty colored trim and a cherry island and dark countertop. We painted the cabinetry and replaced countertops and appliances. We also moved the refrigerator to a side wall to create a better work space flow and added two windows to provide symmetry on the cooktop wall. A new custom wood hood and patterned marble backsplash help add a cheerful upbeat vibe to a previously subdued and muted space.
Corinthian Fine HomesWhile working with this couple on their master bathroom, they asked us to renovate their kitchen which was still in the 70’s and needed a complete demo and upgrade utilizing new modern design and innovative technology and elements. We transformed an indoor grill area with curved design on top to a buffet/serving station with an angled top to mimic the angle of the ceiling. Skylights were incorporated for natural light and the red brick fireplace was changed to split face stacked travertine which continued over the buffet for a dramatic aesthetic. The dated island, cabinetry and appliances were replaced with bark-stained Hickory cabinets, a larger island and state of the art appliances. The sink and faucet were chosen from a source in Chicago and add a contemporary flare to the island. An additional buffet area was added for a tv, bookshelves and additional storage. The pendant light over the kitchen table took some time to find exactly what they were looking for, but we found a light that was minimalist and contemporary to ensure an unobstructed view of their beautiful backyard. The result is a stunning kitchen with improved function, storage, and the WOW they were going for.
