THEME Doors are a visual frame to the
entrance of a great room. This highquality,
personalized element adds
fun and interest to the room before it
is even entered, and provides a great
introduction for any theme.
FOCUS The half-door offers unique
access to the room, providing a true
feeling of ownership for the child and
peace of mind for parents. The top half
of the door swings separate from the
bottom, maintaining great ventilation
and a clear view into the room.
GROWTH The doors look beautiful and
function normally for many years.
SAFETY The doors easily replace
unsightly baby gates and provide
the same level of restraint, without
the footholds or slats often used by
children to manipulate or climb gates.
Solid wood core birch construction
keeps sound out (or sound in) when
the door is closed, while a sliding
gate lock safely secures the bottom
half, and makes opening the top half
simple.

I had to design a space for 2 little girls that had to share a bedroom. They wanted different colors on the wall,so I divided the room with a drapery panel.

Two words sum up every square inch of 5-year-old Olivia's 9x11 bedroom: thrifty and pink. Both interior design and resourcefulness are part of the happy little sprite's DNA; daddy John Kelly is an architect and mommy Stacey is a research analyst. When Olivia started her I-want-everything-pink-and-tea-parties phase, Stacey resorted to her own voted-off-the-island college furniture, spray painting skills and retail upgrading tricks to bring it all to life.
While decorating a little girl's room pink and white ain't as groundbreaking as the creation of Facebook or cloning Dolly the sheep, to us design lovers, executing a tasteful kid's room for under $350 is definitely newsworthy. From putting a fresh spin on old pieces to turning washcloths into precious little birdies, here's a walk through the pinkalicious world that is Olivia Davis's bedroom. CAUTION: The homemade Hello Kitty cookies may result in cuteness overload. Don't say I didn't warn you.
