nimtim ArchitectsA bold and colourful transformation of a terraced house in South London’s Corbett Estate creating a bright and joyous home for our client, her two daughters and her dog. The works created a new family space at ground, a master bedroom suite at first floor and a new loft room.
The existing house was in poor condition however it had clearly been a well loved family home which we and our client recognised and valued. Our proposal therefore deliberately referenced colours and materials from the existing house and reinvented them as something appropriate for a contemporary family home. Rather than erasing the character and history of the house, we were able to continue the story of the house into its new incarnation.
DecorbuddiWe were tasked with the challenge of injecting colour and fun into what was originally a very dull and beige property. Choosing bright and colourful wallpapers, playful patterns and bold colours to match our wonderful clients’ taste and personalities, careful consideration was given to each and every independently-designed room.
Zara Kitchen DesignKitchen is a mix of classic and modern styles with the island in a concrete flat door and the U shape in Hartforth Blue shaker. The Silestone worktops are in Bianco River which works really well with both the door finishes.
The space was a major change from the original layout with the backdoor being blocked in and the creation of an island with seating on end and side.
Emil Eve ArchitectsA sensitive remodelling of a Victorian warehouse apartment in Clerkenwell. The design juxtaposes historic texture with contemporary interventions to create a rich and layered dwelling.
Our clients' brief was to reimagine the apartment as a warm, inviting home while retaining the industrial character of the building.
We responded by creating a series of contemporary interventions that are distinct from the existing building fabric. Each intervention contains a new domestic room: library, dressing room, bathroom, ensuite and pantry. These spaces are conceived as independent elements, lined with bespoke timber joinery and ceramic tiling to create a distinctive atmosphere and identity to each.
Elixir Interior DesignIn the larger guest room, I wanted to keep the space light and airy, keeping the space inviting to the many visitors who stay in this room. The joyful pastel colours bring lightness and style.
Design Interiors LtdOur clients who have 2 teenage children wanted to ensure their design allowed for a good amount of food storage. Through ARCHangels Architects, a clever plan of this extension naturally created a space that could be used as a hidden walk in larder. Noel designed this with the same door finish as the tall oven housing to complete the aesthetics of the design.
The family kitchen, dining & living space was deliberately designed to face out into the garden to create maximum social flow of the space. Noel designed the BORA induction & Tepan hob on the Island to face out as so that the cook of the occasion was still involved in the social element with family & friends. The BORA hob used is part of the ‘professional’ range which has a real emphasis on usability & control. It meets the highest standards with regards to materials & technology & the intuitive control knob allows for a superior cooking experience.
