    Salvia chamedryoides. Does well here in Corona Ca where Nepeta actually does NOT do well, so a good substitute I would think? I can tell you it is long lived in my garden, has a running habit, but is not invasive. Great cobalt blue flowers, gray foliage, extremely tough and heat tolerant. Hummingbirds love it. Top once a year and get rid of older deadwood. Easy.
