    The "palms" are Elephantine Yucca (Yucca elephantipes). They have great big broad trunk bases you can't see because the soil behind this bench is approx. 5' lower than the bench.

Bench seating for the back yard - like the ability to lean back and that this looks like seating rather than planter that you can sit on.
