Warmth, ease and an uplifting sense of unlimited possibility course through the heart of this award-winning sunroom. Artful furniture selections, whose curvilinear lines gracefully juxtapose the strong geometric lines of trusses and beams, reflect a measured study of shapes and materials that intermingle impeccably amidst the neutral color palette brushed with celebrations of coral, master millwork and luxurious appointments with an eye to comfort such as radiant-heated slate flooring and gorgeously reclaimed wood. Combining English, Spanish and fresh modern elements, this sunroom offers captivating views and easy access to the outside dining area, serving both form and function with inspiring gusto. To top it all off, a double-height ceiling with recessed LED lighting, which seems at times to be the only thing tethering this airy expression of beauty and elegance from lifting directly into the sky. OUR CLIENTS HAD SOME VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS COTTAGE RESTORATION – THE BUDGET WAS STRICT, IT NEEDED TO BE COMPLETELY SELF CONTAINED AND SUITABLE FOR BNB GUESTS AND THEY WANTED IT TO FEEL “MORE OPEN”. THE STONE FEATURES OF THE ORIGINAL 1800’S BUILDING WERE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. THIS COUPLED WITH THE PROPERTY IT WAS BUILT ON CREATED ALL THE INSPIRATION WE NEEDED TO FULFIL THE BRIEF. IN THE MAIN LIVING AREA WE OPENED UP THE SPACE WITH GABLED CEILINGS CREATING A BEAUTIFUL ENTRANCE AND EXTRA ROOM FOR STORAGE ACCESSIBLE VIA LIBRARY LADDERS . WE ADOPTED A WHITE COLOUR SCHEME FOR THE WALLS AND CEILING TO MAKE SUCH A SMALL SPACE FEEL AS ROOMY AND BRIGHT AS POSSIBLE AND AS A STARK CONTRAST TO THE ORIGINAL STONE AND SLATE FLOORS. WE ALSO ENCLOSED A VERANDAH ON THE BACK OF THE 2 ROOM COTTAGE TO FULFIL THE “SELF CONTAINED” REQUIREMENT MAKING ROOM FOR A SMALL BATHROOM AND KITCHEN. WHILST WE HAVE ADOPTED A ‘COUNTRY COTTAGE’ FEEL, THE SPACE IS A BLEND OF BOTH VINTAGE AND MODERN DECOR.

Client wanted a contemporary space, but loves the look of raw wood. Doors tie in nicely with the wood coffee table. This opening was nonexistent before. Added to open up flow downstairs and turn an unused bedroom into a TV room.

Feinsteinzeug in Buntschieferoptik... in Farbe und Haptik sehr genial. Kommt auf dem Bild allerdings nicht so rüber wie im Original. Schade
